Found the first half record note in this pretty neat, didn't know who else had seen this on ESPN.com, sorry if it has already been posted:

Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray: Talk about successful debuts as a starting quarterback. Bray was starting his first game for the Vols Saturday on the road at Memphis, and all the true freshman did was throw five touchdown passes … in the first half. He finished 19-of-33 for 325 yards, and 308 of those yards came in the first half. Bray threw touchdown passes to five different players, as Tennessee crushed Memphis 50-14. He became the first Tennessee quarterback in school history to throw five touchdown passes in a half.

The 305 or 308 yards in the first half was the most in a half by any ut qb too possibly.

It mentions that he threw his 5 TDs to 5 different receivers......

I thought that Moore caught 2 of those TD passes...Moore, Poole, Hunter, and D. Rogers. I don't think that Stocker caught one....did Jones?

Jones caught a td pass. Moore only had one. D Rogers also got his first which is great.

I love that Bray asked Gjones in the first half if he had scored yet, Jones said no, Bray told him "we're gonna get you one."

No doubt. That was great. It's not all-world or anything, but very good to see (for a guy that hasn't, to my knowledge, played much center).

Three stats just stood out to me:

First, according to the postgame notes on utsports.com, Bray also set a single half record with 308yds passing.

Second, Bray has 7 TD passes on 80 attempts compared to 8 TDs for Simms on 194 attempts.....quite a sizeable difference in production.

Third, no sacks allowed tonight and I believe a very large part in that is Brays quick release because he was getting drilled a few times. Makes a huge difference and a large part in the second thing I mentioned above.

Bray has a MUCH better ability to avoid the rush or get the ball off. He would have been picked at least once tonight had he been playing a decent defense (or against a decent corner, instead of the one that droppd the ball that was in his hands); however he put up a great show.
