hello VOLS fans - UCLA is going to take over

Well first off we have great coaches.

Norm Chow is one of the best coaches of all time in NCAA, and top assistants in the pros NFL and CFL.

We will start off with the O, then go to the D.

-----------------------------------OFFENSE-----

QB- it's going to be Olson. Drew Olson will be the starter, and he is solid. Better or same as any UT QB you got.

RB- Kahlil Bell. Forsett gave you trouble last season, just wait for Bell. Your ears will be ringing from the Bell all game long. Chane Moline. He will most likely be our #2 guy if Carter is progressing at the time. If not Carter then would be a freshmen tearing it up at practice.

WR- Everett and Johnson are the best 1-2 punch in the nation. It's not even close. Embree is also turning heads as a freshmen. Johnson is nursing some injuries but 4 months from now he will be breaking ankles. I promise you after the game you will be talking about Johnson.

OL- Micah Reed and Micah Kia are great players. Reed has potential to be a NFL draftee in rounds 1 or 2 and Darius Savage will be one of the top players in the nation either this season or next.

------------------------------DEFENSE---------------

DL- Korey Bosworth and Brigham Harwell are studs. Bosworth just might be a top 10 pick next draft if he bolts. He will get after the QB at least twice in the first game. Tom Blake is also a stud, but he might be moved to LB. Blake is going to be a all american but will it be LB or DE?

LB- Kyle Bosworth is a SR, and he is going to be a All-American. He is our best defender and many think better than Bruce Davis last season. Reggie Carter is the best LB nobody knows. Carter in my views is the best MLB the Bruins have had in the last 15-20 years. Steve Sloan a freshman is the most antipated LB we've had maybe in 100 years. Also Akeem Ayers will play as a true freshmen, and probably our best player in any draft class the last 5 years. He won't dominate in game 1 but will make plays.

DB- Alterraun Verner is going to be the best player on our defense. why? because he makes plays. Probably a round 2 NFL player, and if he returns next season he will be viewed as a top 15 pick. He will bet all-american and win awards all year. The guy is the best corner of all time, and you will be upset at your QB all game long if he throws to him. He is just amazing!

Aaron Ware our FS. I love him. Many think he should play corner cause nobody beats him. Ware is one of the best safeties of Bruin football of all time. Ware will not get beat in game 1, or maybe any other game. Oh by the way. Tell your OL to watch out, cause he blitzes and one of the fastests players that your QB will see off the edge, or up the middle.

They teach grammar over at that there institution of higher learnin'?

Randy you should try taking a look at the vol secondary.
probably will be one of the best if not the best in the country and VERY young...........
hmmm.....for a UCLA fan you are not very up to date on your teams injuries and outlooks from the coaches there trollboy.

Tennessee will probably be favored by 4-7 points. If the game was played at a neutral site, the Vols would win by at least 7-10 points with UCLA receiving 3 points for home field factor.

I'm sorry. That was an awkwardly worded statement. What I meant was that if UTK and UCLA met at neutral site, the spread would be Tenn -7 or Tenn -10. Since it is in Pasadena, UCLA receives three points for home field advantage hence, my opinion that the Vols should be favored by 4-7 points.

How did UCLA lose to ND with all those playmakers?

That was a bad day. One of the worst ones at the RB.

Just out of curiosity, how did you lose to kal? Hell, we even beat them. (Pop off all you want Droski but right now UCLA has scoreboard.)

Losing Cowan at QB for the season (his career is over because he's a 5th year senior) hurts. He gave us our best chance on offense. Ben has some experience but he's injury prone and slow. Unless he lights it up after his foot heals, he rides the pine.

Most likely Craft, a JUCO transfer, will probably be the starter at QB. Our OL is okay but there is no depth. Anymore injuries there and it will be a long season. This is a good opportunity for Coach Chow and CRN to really earn their pay and see what they can do. We've got some good defensive players (Price, Carter, Verner) but like the OL, not a lot of depth.

Fortunately, there is a lot of football between now and 9/1 (about 120 days) and lots can happen. We've got two excellent freshman running backs that baring injury, will play. It's too bad our game got rescheduled to Labor Day because I think it's going to hurt attendance on both sides. I'm taking a vacation day on 9/2 so I'll be there with the rest of my crew. Hopefully some of the volnation.comers will be there too.

GO BRUINS! REMEMBER DUANE ALLMAN!

The last time we started a QB that was on campus the year before we went 13-0 and won a NC. :good!:

Wrong! Neither Ainge nor Casey Clausen went 13-0 and won a national championship, and I'm certain that each of them were on campus the year before three unsuccessful (no national championship) seasons.

Ainge started as a true freshmen. He was not on campus a year before he started. I'm pretty sure Casey was a true freshmen as well.

Welcome, rational posters representing the opposition are always very welcome here.

QB situation is unfortunate. While there is still quite a bit of time between now and kick-off, there are only a few short weeks left where there can be anything close to game simulation. Your

well lets hope they can even field a team so we can have a game, since they hired a coach with checked past and there Hollywood team get injuered on an hangnail.....
