Assuming I can post this topic here.

As you can tell, I'm a Florida fan. No alarm! I am not here to spam, clutter the board with useless Florida biases, I am here to give my opinion on Tennessee football and sports in general.

You see, I find it funny how my Gator brothers make fun of the likes of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and so on when we've only been in prominence since the 1980's. (90's, really, 80's were cut back by sanctions)

I am not a Gator fan like you normally meet. I try my best to be classy, and talk about the Gators, yes, but also represent the SEC with some dignity.

Although I can't promise things will be so classy when we face off. :p

My name is Ben, I hope to become a sports writer one day. I'm 14 and a freshman in high school, outside of being a Gator I am also a Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Pistons and... yikes, a Detroit Lions fan.

Hope I am welcome, look forward to meeting some new people.

Just kidding. Welcome to the boards. There will be the occasional idiot who flames you, but most, if not all of us, try to be nice to the fans of other teams.

Welcome "Big Show".(jk) You write well for a 14 years old. The one thing I was taught when visiting Chicago was there's an imaginary line when you step over it you become a Cubs fan or White Sox fan. Man they hate each other.

Thanks. I've been doing forums for a couple years now, and have noticed that some of the intelligence in the smaller forums seems to have diminished. I'm glad to be here with some smart fans.

Yes. I am from Kentucky, so you'd think I'd be a Wildcats, Reds, Bengals fan and so forth... I became a Gator fan when I was young and watching Danny Wuerffel play. Of course I don't remember much, but it helped me become a Gator down the road.

I liked the Pistons because of Jerry Stackhouse, the Cubs because of Greg Maddux and Sammy Sosa, the Lions because they used to play in my mother's hometown and the Blackhawks because I needed a hockey team.

The Cubs fans are really passionate for not having won a World Series in 100 years. When I visited Wrigley Field for a few games in 2006, when the Cubs were flat out TERRIBLE, there were White Sox fans that would by the cheap seats at the games just to boo the Cubs.
