In Western NC, we lost 103 friends and family members during the hurricane Helene.

The Texas Flood victims just surpassed us with 104 confirmed lost.

Donate some money to them somehow, that’s what they need, not more bottled water or used clothes.

If you can’t send a few bucks, send a prayer.

If you can’t afford to send a few bucks or don’t pray, I’m truly sorry for your current plight as well.

I salute those of you who can.

Sad indeed, thanks for the click.

That’s all I got

Anyone else find it ironic that the company Rain Maker was literally cloud seeding less than 24 hours before the floods in this EXACT area?

I live in Austin and it’s terrible some of the things I’ve seen nearby here. It flooded here as well.

Agree 100% on cash.

Donating used underwear, broken tools does more harm than good. There was 30 of us in a warehouse last year going through donated used items in East TN. About 90% of it was worthless.
I imagine a collection of "good intentioned" folks disguise an opportunity to do some house cleaning as being charitable. THen virute signal bout how they helped out. Nothing wrong with donating to disaster victims of used clothing type items. Just not used socks, undies, and such. Wearable clothing that can be Goodwilled could be useful if in good condition, washed and folded and presented as such.

Clothing we have dropped off at Goodwill in the past may have been in trash bags, but it was all washed and folded and neatly placed in hte bags for protection. Socks and private wear is either good enough to wear, or goes in trash. Who recycles unmentionables for donations ??

New, unused socks and undies are well received by those who have lost everything. Read the situation. How many have lost everything? How many are prepared to help those who have lost everything? How many others need help in some fashion? What may their needs be, and how can you best help?

If there’s an organization or organizations which you trust in position to help meet the needs, and they could use additional funding, give as you’re willing and able.

True and emphasis on new for inner wear. I was just dropping a penny and a half's worth on Foxy's recent experience she noted.
