Samaritan s Purse is by far the best.
Very reputable. Sound business practices. Minimal cost diversion to admin costs.
Very good people. I have personal experience be with them. Universally great people.

Check out Operation BBQ Relief. They provide hot meals after natural disasters strike. They were on site in Florida the day after Helene hit and were in Tennessee and North Carolina as soon as conditions allowed. They are currently serving approximately 50,000 meals a day across multiple locations. Very sound and responsible with all donations they receive.

Gave to them, Appalachian Service Project (who has already built a home in Asheville), and Hot Springs Library Fund (City of Hot Springs)

$300 load of waters, charcoal, grills, trash bags, wipes, clothing etc. NC Needs our help. And more than that they DONT need our stupid ass conspiracy theories. Look past your own political affiliation and help fellow man.

Thanks for the info. I want to lake sure my donation goes directly towards East TN community. The Red Cross is a great organization but the $$ is deposited into a pool before for all disasters.

Also, I encourage anyone profiting from ticket sales to donate a portion of profit to this cause, even $10. Every dollar will help!

Yeah, I just left there. I didn’t see FEMA at all. Had to call my buddies wife because he’s too damn stubborn. It’s a SS there. Lines down and they will be lucky to have power within the week. Dropped off canned goods, gas, and a generator. Slept in the spare bedroom with the windows open and heard generators all night. Yeah, don’t listen to any moron online.

If you are close to drive to Newport TN or Hartford Tn Or Bristol you can drop off water , hygiene things, canned food or what ever at Fire Deparment in Newport or various other locations on Main drag through town.

Bristol Motor Speedway open all day for donations receiving. These are all on TN side of the mess.

They need everything one can think of. Soon habitat for humanity up there will be incredibly busy on all those areas.

I doubt it. The mountains of NC were still mostly inhabitable last weekend. Waters hadn’t receded in many hard hit places yet. They weren’t there. I’ll be that “moron” telling you they aren’t here. I reside in TN on the NC border. Where do you live? I’m 5 min from family who are still nearly secluded due to multiple bridge failures. I’m 10 minutes from Erwin which was nearly washed away in places. I know many who are affiliated with rescue efforts and for nearly a week it was a good ol boy system of side by sides and aluminum boats performing rescue efforts. I personally know people being turned away for help with search efforts due to “lack of credentials”. Some of these places are littered with deceased animals, deceased animals in trees from receding waters. Still many missing people. Yet some of these agencies just pulled into town this weekend, 1 week later than your claims. I’m living it, while you just simply make politically motivated claims. Nice try.

Psst…it’s the narrative that matters, not the facts.

I’m just thankful for all of the religious organizations that put the money and boots where their mouths are and truly do their best to try to help folks. It’s uplifting to see.

I donate through Samaritans Purse, but if anyone wants to help, I’d pick one of those organizations mentioned above that you feel you can trust.

We are the Govt.

Food City is asking customers if they’d like to “round up to next dollar for Helene”.

This is an easy time to give. Just round up to next $10 $20 or $100.

The only thing that bothers me about grocery stores doing this is that they likely take the money, buy their own “about to expire” or “expired” goods at full price and then donate those.

Great way to increase profits while making it look good.

Thank you for suggesting Samaritan Purse. Just sent donation. Western NC is a favorite weekend spot for me and my family. Strong people there, they will recover
