After the SEC has had time to get through their first three games, it is evident The Heisman will not be coming to Knoxville. It also will not land in Athens as Chubb has had declining performances week over week, his carry stats last week were just over 3 ypc and no 100 yard game for the second straight week, and longest broken field run was only 16 yards. It will not land in Baton Rouge to Fournette as the Mad Hatter did not pull his QB to start the season when ineffective early. It will not land in Oxford as Ole Miss is an 1-2 team. Bama has no one putting stats on the board close to their national rivals so the trophy goes not there this year either. Consequently the SEC does not have a worthy Heisman candidate on the national level this year after 3 games into the 2016 season, true?

No Vol ever had a real shot at the Heisman, we all knew it. I highly doubt any player even sniffs it while Butch is here. His system is not designed to give any one player enough production needed to get the Heisman.

James Washington should be in the mix. Right now its a clear cut one man show.

Not so veiled attempt at taking a shot at Nick Chubb thread IMO. 🙃

A very short conversation lol. No one is even close to Lamar Jackson right now.

I guess Lamar cross trained with his javelin skills?

Before Saturday, I thought that Jackson might have had some inflated numbers but after watching him play... he's legit.

I have to say I really like the way Louisville runs their spread and I wish we ran it the same way.

At this time last year, Fournette was considered a heisman lock. A lot can change once every team gets into conference play. That said, Lamar Jackson is easily out front. I'd have to think McCaffrey, Barrett, and Watson will get invites to the ceremony as well. It's tough to see any of those 4 being left out, barring injury.
