Heisman 2011

RGIII is the front runner according to ESPN Heisman voters. But last week Baylor did better with Nick Florence at QB after RGIII left the game, so there's still a question to me that he's the best player?

stiffarmtrophy.com the most accurate Heisman predictor over the last decade had Luck in the lead before this last weekend's games. He said candidates tend not to move in any bye week. He manages to poll a full third of the voters every week.

RGIII has a good case and I think he would win it most years but I have to go with Luck. I think he's the superior player.

I want Robert Griffin III to win but i have a bad feeling the voters are going ala Charles Woodson defensive player. Which helps the dawggone Honey badger and he is helped by being on the best team. Richardson has the worst numbers but he will be given credit for getting those against SEC defenses.

as much as i want to agree being a badger fan and all, no one from wisconsin should be considered for heisman...we run the score up more than any other team i know

If anyone on the team deserves it, I think Wilson does. He's been great.

The order should be:
Griffin
Luck
Richardson

But what will happen is actually the reverse

If you had a ballot for Heisman who would you put on it?

Mine would go:

1. Tyrann Mathieu- as far as "Heisman moments" he is really the only one that has one of those plays, and he's got a couple, capped off by his punt return in the SEC Championship

2. Andrew Luck- He's the best player in college football, hands down. And really, that is what this award is supposed to be about. I don't think he gets it though.

3. Montee Ball- I am always partial to running backs, so it is I have to include one, and as far as the numbers go, this guy has them in spades. 32 touchdowns, 6.4 yards per carry.

Unfortunately, I think Trent Richardson gets it, the sole reason being that he plays for the University of Alabama. I am an SEC elitist and want to see the crystal football come to our conference every year, and I will admit that Richardson physically a beast but the favoritism shown to Alabama by the media is unprecedented in any other sport.
For comparison. Richardson has 20 touchdowns and 6.0 yards per carry. 12 touchdowns and almost a half yard shy of Ball's numbers.

Biggest impact player was Matthieu. He isn't the best, even on his team, but he had the biggest impact, the most often and in the biggest games.

RGIII and Andrew Luck 1 and 2 in no particular order. You could put either of these guys on any team in the country and that team will be instantly better. Similarly, without these guys on Baylor and Stanford their respective teams are significantly less successful this year.

Who ya got? I've narrowed it down to 3. Luck and Richardson are done playing. RG III has one more game. He destroys Luck in every category (yards, TD's, INT's, YPA) so unless he tanks against Texas, he's my guy:

RGIII = 4290 yards (612 rushing), 41 TD's (7 rushing), 5 INT's, 72.6%, and 10.6 YPA

Richardson = 1910 yards (327 receiving), 23 TD's (3 receiving), and 6.0 YPC

Luck = 3323 yards (153 rushing), 37 TD's (2 rushing), 9 INT's, 70.0%, and 8.5 YPA

I'll be shocked if Luck wins. He was slightly better last year, and his team had the same record.
who does baylor play ? i don't think he has another game that i know of ?
