Heffney wasn't very good at UT. He was a liability more than an asset. How can you argue against that?

I agree, he should of left as a Junior, Instead his Senior Year, He played his way into not getting Drafted. Funny how much hype a person can get.

He started as a freshman, at which point he gambled a lot. After that, he had pretty solid sophomore and junior seasons. He's not the first player to disappoint after a solid junior season. Rashad Baker did that and I think he's still in the league.

I'm glad he stayed and was a leader for a very young DB corp. I also heard the UT beat writer for the Chattanooga Free-Press say on the radio yesterday that nobody knew how bad Hefney was hurt all year.

Good to hear. I hope he gets a spot. I thought that Van Zant name sounded familiar.....he had an incredible story on College Gameday

I know this is random, but i was watching the CFL on MSG TV last night, and Hefney was playing for the Winnepeg Blue Bombers. The team is struggling offensively so he was on the field a lot. Looked to be having a pretty good game

I watched that too. He looked decent so maybe the CFL is a fit for him. Also seen the former A&M Aggie Reggie McNeal playing wr and getting in a scruffle on the sidelines with a db. lol
