the inclusion of Hefney should provide you all the info you need regarding the voters. Total tackles must weigh heavily here as well and given our front 4, our back 7 made one heckuva lot of tackles.

OMG...I'm seriously not giving this post season award any credit in my mind again...

It's obviously decided on by people who don't watch our games...

The only thing Hefney did well this year was get alot of pre-season accolades and that is obviously all that the "powers that be" are considering here...

Whats the big deal? It is what it is...yea this was his worst year by far at UT, but he still got it...Congrats Hef :rock:

This was the coaches poll; I would trust them to evaluate the best players.

Congrats to all that made the team! To be honest I think Parker and maybe McNeil were the only OL that deserved recognition. While our OL's stats as fars as sacks looks good, you have to think about out offense. It's hard to get sacked when you are throwing 5 yard outs and slants the entire game. The ball was gone before the DL got out of their stance. Easy to have a low sack count when that is the case.

Anyone hear X. Mitchell's post game comments? He was talking about the tackle he had on that reverse type play and I think the LSU RB got hurt. He said, "I figured I had to get to him quick before he built up some speed and juked me, and then I cut him down the way that Hef likes to do". I chuckled a little when I heard that. I've never seen a football player afraid to tackle someone. You look at Hef attempt a tackle and Berry tackle and it's night and day. Berry at least understands the concept of using your arms to wrap up.
