I'm definitely looking forward to this one. It's style seems different from all other video games with a big emphasis on plot, cinematics, emotion, and immersion. Should be a nice change up from the traditional action/adventure game.

wow- this seems like a resurrection of sorts for the adventure genre (Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Maniac Manson, etc) set to a more serious tone.

Like playing a movie..

Demo is out now. Haven't looked at it myself but figured someone here might have missed it.

The demo was pretty fun. It's an interesting game. I had to play it multiple times because I didn't get any info out of the hooker during my first interrogation.

The most appealing aspect for me is still how different the game seems to be. The controls are completely unique, and the ability to make impactful conversation decisions is nice. I get tired of playing the same design formula over and over. I'm waiting to see if the retail version will display in 1080i because I have an old HDTV that won't support 720p. If so, this game is at the top of my wishlist.

Beware though. There is an occasional glitch at the very end of the crime scene. My screen turned black, and the TV made a noise like it was about to explode!

one run through the demo and i'm liking it. the fight scene was pretty cool but not having a clue what button to push made it interesting. it seems like a pretty intense game, i can see myself playing this quite a bit.

Played the demo last night. I'll probably pick it up. The only thing I didn't like was that I left some money on the hooker's table, but didn't get any action. Did anyone find anything of significance at the crime sceme other than the stuff with the body?

well i played for about 2 hours tonight and i'm getting into it pretty good. the comparison to "playing a movie" is pretty spot on, the first couple of hours is about the equal to the first 30-45 mins of a movie, establishing characters and story and what not, but i wasn't bored during that time at all. it's very interactive as far as choice of dialogue and options on what you do and supposedly these choices affect how the story unfolds. from what i've read about it it's a 9-9.5 rated game and i can see why but somewhere said it's only about a 10 or so hour gameplay but that you can play it multiple times with multiple results in the story so that might help to keep it playable. if anyone is on the fence i'd say rent it first but i don't think you'll be disappointed if you like mystery/murder/police movies like i do.

that's awesome timing seeing as how this was supposed to be the "prequel" and given out with a reserve. i wonder if they'll give this one out for free now since it didn't happen

I just finished my game. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I bought it used at gamestop, hoping I would finish within 7 days and return it. The story sucked me in, ended up keeping it.

I like the fact that you can play it again and make different choices and get a new ending. There are 21 endings.
