Heather Harrington got an exclusive interview with Derek Dooley

Hyams must be ready to kill himself right now.

Well, the difference is, she's the one assigned by the station to cover the team on a day-to-day basis. She's at practice every day, gets interviews, etc. Hyamns does his show during practice. It makes alot more sense for the station to tab her to do the interview.

It's just like if the KNS got a similiar exclusive, they would have Austin Ward, who is the UT Football beat writer to do it instead of a columnist (Strange or Adams) or the recruiting "expert" Hooker.

Luckily for her, he probably doesn't listen to her on the air every morning. She was griping louder than anyone in this market about how the media is entitled to this and that from UT's football coach. Her voice is extra annoying when she whines.

She did whine a lot, but Dave Hooker cried even more!

I was looking over the Sports Animal site and they don't have it up yet. I was kinda hoping they did because I'd like to hear it.

The whole Knoxville media in general is upset at Dooley because he's not been as accessible as the previous staff. Hooker gripes about it every day it seems and Will and Josh were on the topic again today. I agree, it would be nice to have more updates, but if he's just going to give us the usual coach speak "Workin' like heck, etc." I'd rather him stay quiet until he feels he has something to say.

YES!

AND, she is WRONG about 90% of the time she opens her mouth. It's unbelievable! Occasionally, Doc and Jeff will correct her, but for the most part they just let her go.... She also tries to talk more than either Doc or Jeff, terribly annoying. I just can't understand how a former Lady Vol volleyball player has been set up to be (a) that station's day-to-day football reporter and (b) a morning sports talk show host.... And what I further cannot understand is how anyone likes her... She has such an elitist attitude and holds her opinion in the highest regard of anyone I have ever listened to!

That station would be much better off if they just fired her... Doc and Jeff do a stand-up job, and Justene (sp?) can supply the gender neutrality (SHE is infinitely better than HH)

Sure, I'd like to hear something interesting about the football program every day, it just doesn't work out like that. Plus, this is March, and we have a new coach who has a lot on his plate right now.
Just because we all have an addiction to UT football, that doesn't mean that we are OWED anything by the coach. I'm amazed by the entitlement notion in this market. It is his job to do what he thinks is best for the football team and program. We need to just chill and trust that he's doing that until we see reason to believe anything else. Obviously he has a different list of priorities than he-who-must-not-be-named. I, for one, am okay with that.

+1^

We all have our desires for information, but I trust that when he has something worth knowing, he will tell us. He's a disciple of Nick Saban, and just like any other person who learns under someone, he has taken on some characteristics of his mentor. I think he'll eventually open up a little bit more, but I think right now he's trying hard to get a true handle on things right now. Like has been said, I'd rather hear nothing than some of the typical coach speak, or the false information fed to us under Fulmer about practice performances, etc.

relevant as Obama is to fiscal conservative. It makes me laugh when everyone says he is a Saban clone. He may have worked for Saban but he is no Nick Saban, about the only thing they have in common is that they both have a head coach as their title.

People aren't saying he is going to be as as successful as Saban, but that he acts like him. The radio shows here in Atlanta think the same. They were comparing some clips from Dooley's presser, to one from Saban. When are you going to stop posting?

Get off this website troll. Go back to Fiji and leave the Vols alone.
