Closer than it should have been. We left a ton of ops on the field. But I'll take the victory!

It was just the type of game you want to see this team win. Total gimme games really don't tell you much about the character of a team. Watching how a rebuilding team responds to difficult scenarios against a team that can beat you tells you much more.

From what I saw, these coaches and this team handled every adverse situation with character. Mistakes served as teaching moments and these young men responded well to their coaches.

Kesling said on the radio that Patterson was the man tonight burning Amerson & the backfield, so the Headline for tomorrow would be: "Patterson burns up Wolfpack" on his performance. Kesling is known not to be very clear in all he says. On radio, he talks like he has peanut butter in his mouth so it's hard to understand pretty much.
