To shocking stats:

June Jones at Southern Methodist and Jim Grobe at Wake Forest are making more than the Tennessee head coach.

Jimmy Sexton better step his game up (unless those other guys are his clients too, in which case, kudos.)

I created a Google spreadsheet with different sorting options and published it to the web.

The first sheet is sorted by Total Compensation and the second sheet is sorted by Conference then Total Compensation.

Could be, if so, my bad. My day has ready taken a turn for the crappy.

I don't know, you could be right, funny how two people interpret things differently on a message board, just seeing the words. I guess those smilies do serve a purpose. :)

Both have substantially better resumes than Dooley. Both have BCS bowls and conference championships. Both have won more games than they have lost, although with Grobe it is close.

With Jones in particular, it is pretty easy to see why he would be in demand after taking a WAC program to an undefeated regular season and the Sugar Bowl.

Neuheisal only making 1.2 million at UCLA!

That's got to put him close to the poverty line in SoCal.

I think the more important thing here other than how much more or less money Coach DD is making compared to others coaches is how the contract reads. When you read the buy-out and termination clauses/amounts I think it's pretty clear that coach DD is gonna be all Vol for at least a minimum of 3 years and I'm happy that we are gonna have some stability.

All I know is I want Dabo Swinney's agent next time I have to negotiate my contract. That's a felony! Anybody else find it odd that Wake Forest pays Grobe 3 mil?

I know this is a shameless plug, but I am the student at Marquette Law that's been working on these figures. It's been a bit of an eye-opener on how well some of these contracts have been negotiated, as well as how poorly some of these have been negotiated. And for some of these that don't seem that high, you should see how easy some of the incentives are to meet. Easier to negotiate another incentive than it is to raise the base salary during a negotiation.

Also, if anyone has any questions about the numbers, feel free to PM me or ask me on here.

How is Steve Roberts only making $140,000? My girlfriends parents make that without having to go to work. He prob works a second job for that.
