Here's what I'd do. Bring Kiffin in as, on the condition that he hire Tee as OC and associate head coach. We'll recruit like crazy and win like crazy.
Then, if things go south with Kiffin for any reason, we've got a GREAT backup who can immediately step in as interim head coach, prove himself, and get the full-time gig after one good season. It's a win-win.
I'm fine with that. If we are seriously considering taking a shot at the NC State guy... take a shot with Tee... or Kiffin. Or Kiffin with Tee as OC if he'd come
Tell me what Dabo did before he was the HC at Clemson.Tee would be smart to not take the job right now
This fan base won't wait around for someone to learn on the job
You don't hire someone just because they wore the orange either.
Tee has been an OC for 2 years. No HC experience
Its not what we need now. Bring in another proven HC, Tee as OC and groom him to take over, just like Fulmer did. Let him cut his SEC teeth as an OC first to see how he can handle it
I wonder about some of you and your ability to reason
Since Dec. 1980, I was thinking about football specifically. I am not a fan of basketball at all.
I do not think Tennessee has ever had a football head coach that was black. I think the first black football player was like 1974.

Numerous assistant coaches in football, but no HC. Just so you know, Lester McClain was UT's first African American football player in 1968, with Condredge Holloway the SEC's first African American QB in 1972.
