I think Fulmer needs to step down.

Who do we set as the Head Coach.

Chavis?

That is part of the problem we don't even have an assistant any one would want as a D1 head coach.:cray:

My vote is for Eric Berry. I'm guessing he could make better decisions than Fulmer and the players would listen to him. A Varsity Blues type scenario if you will...

At least Chavis would stop some of the boneheaded offensive calls that keep putting the defense under the gun.

Make Chavis interim, he has no illusions of grandeur. New coach can't join until after the season anyway.

We can only hope that Fulmer will step down tomorrow or be fired tomorrow. We can't keep this up for the next 4 weeks until the end of the year. Get it over now and move on! Let's find our next coach!! GO VOLS:clapping:

Wyoming put 544 yds and 35 pts on SDSU tonight.

I may not go to the game. I don't know what I am gonna do if we lose to Wyoming at home.

What about the going out gracefully talk? Showing Fulmer the door before the end of the season would be anything but graceful. I know its not going to be graceful no matter when they do it, but I can't imagine a scenario where he wouldn't at least finish out the season.

This season is over. Let Fulmer finish it out and give him a chance to walk away. If he doesn't then you can fire him. But you gain nothing by firing him at this point in the season.

Honestly, I'm going to laugh my ass off, because a Vols team that is that pathetic should, quite litteraly, be laughed off the field.

I would like to see an announcement tomm or Monday that CPF is retiring at seasons end. This way, we can go ahead and start the process of finding the next head coach.

I have to say that I don't blame him for wanting to collect his buyout money. If everyone on this board answered truthfully, we would probably all do the same thing if we were in his shoes.

Well, I don't think anyone who is being truthful would say, "Yea, I'm gonna step down at the end of the season, for the good of the program", and if you did, you'd either be an excellent man, or a damn liar. So, I'll give you that.

But, I still think he should step down, just because I'm a fan who sees the product on the field, and wouldn't pay $.50 for that product.

I'm not so sure. If he's fired, at least there won't be anyone that keeps putting Crompton in games.

What are the benifits of firing him now? Can the A.D. actually contact coaches during the middle of the season. I don't see any other A.D.s giving us the green light to talk to their coaches with 3 or 4 games left.

I say we put Mr Know It All Mike Hamilton so America can confirm what a loser he is by not firing Fulmer

IMO, he lost the priviledge to coach the rest of the season and go out on his own terms tonight when he exploded on the sideline.

I think he was out either way, but after tonight, I really feel like its going to be done sooner rather than later.

Hamilton's post game quote, "I'm showing Phillip respect tonight" says volumes to me. To respond with that after being asked about Phil's job situation is very telling.

Maybe it would be best if he announced he was stepping down.

He may play less tight and so might the team.
