Today is Resurrection Day!!! The world calls it easter. It`s not about bunnies, easter eggs or candy. It`s about an empty tomb and our Lord`s victory over death. He is Risen!

He even folded the sheets, a Saviour with class

This is one of the most undervalued parts of the entire Gospel right here. When you were done eating, in those times, you would wad up the cloth and toss it on to the table. If you weren't done eating, you would fold your napkin up neatly, and set it beside your plate so your servants wouldn't clean the table. It meant simply, that you were coming back. Jesus folded his garments inside the tomb in this manner, which was a sign to those who came into the tomb the 3rd day, that he was coming back.

Our Lord is most definitely risen.

This was actually talked about by the chaplain in our Easter service this morning. Blood, dirt and whatever other stains and all, he rose and folded the head linen. How cool is that?

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter. I've been able to "enjoy Easter with my family" via pictures posted on fb. It's not the same, but it's something. Just remember today is way more important than eggs, bunny wabbits and candy filled baskets. Our Savior has risen and we are forgiven of our sins because of His sacrifice and from nothing of our own doing.

Be safe out there brother, and Happy Easter!!

Carpenters would wash the dust from their hands when they were finished with a piece of work. After they dried their hands they would fold the cloth and place it on the item signifying it was done.

+1. Glory to Jesus! If you haven't already committed to him, please do so (now) before the last signing day passes. You're on the top level of his recruiting board. Accept his offer (to be your savior) and join his team. It will be your best win ever!

:good!::yes: One faith, One Lord! PTL, we serve a Risen Savior!

Our message this morning was from this passage in John. It really spoke to me.

Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believethat Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

As part of our Easter program this morning, we acted out an old song by the Paynes "The Conversation". The whole church enjoyed it, some really got into it.

And guess who was chosen by unanimous vote to play Satan? That would be me. Alas.

Frankly, I'm not surprised.
