He Had His Elbow Too High, He Had His Elbow Too Low

He hasn't fumbled 50 times. He's probably got eight career fumbles. All of his fumbles have come long, long after the handoff, so I don't see how that is really a related issue. I think Lennon Creer's first ever play as a Vol was a fumbled handoff. Guess that guy never needs to play again.

Not all...see above video for reference. It really doesn't matter...they've both stunk it up this year. I don't care if he's had 7 fumbles....how many have cost us games? Either sit him or give him the ball only between the 20s.

Not trying to argue, just pissed like you at my team.

I only saw the replay once--during the game--and based on that it was Crompton's fault! And I played football--quarterback in fact!

Do you guys thing running backs always hold their arms in the textbook position while running forward after the snap??? Please. It's the QB's job to stick the ball in the RB's Gut!!! Period. The RB is not looking at the ball. There are times when the RB is not positioned perfectly--he may be too close or too far away from the QB. The RB is looking at the blockers. It's the QB's job to find the RB's gut--and stick the ball in there!! That has always been the case! Maybe Foster's elbow is too low--or was it too high?? Who gives a rat's a$$. There was room enough for the football--that's the bottom line, there was enough room for the football--and yet Crompton didn't stick it it there. Exactly as Manning sticks the ball in the RBs gut--that's textbook.

You can't blame Foster because he didn't have the ball. Crompton had it! And it was Crompton's job to compensate if Foster's arm wasn't perfectly positioned. The QB has to ENSURE that the handoff is clean because he has the ball--not the RB!!

Having said all this, Crompton and Foster should both be benched. Foster should have been benched two games ago, and so should have Crompton.

Fulmer blaming Foster is more evidence that he is a clueless dunce--a complete idiot. That's why the program sux now--because he's an idiot. I'm sorry but it's true.

Bench them both. We have better players in both positions and they have both cost us games.

I thought it was Crompton's fault and I tired of Foster long ago. I'll agree with tennisguy, rather just have a different backfield duo in the game.

You know what, elbow too high, elbow too low, if Crompton is looking where he's handing the ball, this fumble doesn't happen. I'm sure several times EVERY Saturday, a RB has his elbow too low, or the QB has his too high, or vice versa...but they adjust...they make plays. The excuse well is runnin' pretty dry.

you must be from vanderbilt - whose worried about fonts any way "NERD"

I am, but I don't believe a private education is necessary to instill politeness or common sense. Typing in all caps is considered rude, and it makes you look like a moron even before getting to the contents of your post.

Beyond deeming it rude or making him look like a moron..I think it's just not necessary.

I didn't think my original post on the topic was all that caustic, and I don't see a problem with pointing a new member towards better board decorum.

No no no, I was saying that beyond what you said, that typing in all caps is, at very least, simply not necessary. That wasn't directed at you at all!

I know what you mean...it's hard to read stuff on the internet sometimes, mainly because you don't get that whole tone of voice thing.

No matter how you slice it or dice it or even spice it, we are talking about an Elbonian problem here, no two ways about it.

It's a testimony to the state of the program, that you have a senior RB and junior QB and the coach needs to spend part of practice focusing on how to do hand-offs.

If he would have just put his right foot in and his right foot out and his right foot in and shake it all about... NONE Of this would be happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
