Yeah, my wife (sadly) is somewhat of an expert on the Fast & Furious movies. She said they did that in Fast 2.

It reminded me of 1984.

That episode was not for the feint of heart.

Classic example of medieval torture. The way it was usually done as I understand it was to lay the torturee down, put a pot full of rats on their chest and charcoal on top. When that happens, the rats eventually get out by eating through the bowels of the victim.

Thanks to good production, I won't say that reading the books spoiled the show for me but it's very different to watch the showing knowing what is going to happen to the characters.

I don't remember the scene w Joffrey and the whores in the book but it's been months since I read it.

I'm speaking more to the fact that I know who will live, who will die, who will side with whom, etc. Big picture stuff. I think I'm more interested in reading the next two books than I am in the show at this point. Still like the show but it's different when you remove the suspense.

I'm reading the second book as the second season goes along and there are many discrepancies. May have been the same with season 1 but I didn't notice as much since I read the book afterwards.

It's confusing - I'm reading and thinking that's not what happens and I'm watching and thinking that's not what happens.
