I'm not a book reader and had no idea what the "Red Wedding" was when I missed the 'Rains of Castamere' episode on it's first airing. By the time I caught one of the reruns, I already knew what was going down just from word of mouth of my co-workers/friends/family. You can't hide from spoilers. Not possible.

I haven't read the books either and I started watching the series after season 3 was over. So it could or easily been spoiled for me but I was lucky to to avoid them so I got to experience the shock of it. Sucks it was spoiled for you.
