HBO's "Game of Thrones"

I feel like we traded faster moving story for inconsistency and giant plotholes now that we have moved beyond the book plot.

I would definitely agree that there have been more inconsistencies the more they've gone off/beyond book. While I don't really agree that there have been 'giant' plot holes, I do wish they would have spent more time on the little things, since they still handle the big picture stuff extremely well.

If we're being honest, the show is doing significantly better than it would have if it tried to fully adapt the story lines in Feast and Dance.

this, unfortunately. Let's hope Benioff and Weiss keep it to a minimum. So far, I'd say they have...

What the hell was even the point of Arya getting stabbed in the first place?

Her getting stabbed did nothing except detract from her character development and make her appear to be mostly as bumbling as she was when she arrived in Braavos. The episode that ended with her lying in wait with Needle was the perfect setup for her to dispatch the Waif in the dark and leave Braavos under the same circumstances, but without the needless Assassin's Creed leap and Terminator 2 chase sequence.

I guess they felt they needed to tie in the woman from the acting troupe somehow.

I had the same thought watching the Waif chase Arya - she was very T-1000 like.

so with our bastard bowl episode tomorrow, we have only one full episode (the finale) to see where all these plots actually go

I will be pissed if this season wastes another second showing anything happening in Dorne.

Or the Tower of Joy

Edit: Sorry misread the post lol. I thought you were saying you'll be pissed if they don't follow up with more of Dorne. That's how I feel about the Tower of Joy.

I honestly think that may have been worse writing than the Dorne plot. Not only was the Lady Crane reappearance completely contrived (the only person she can rely on just so happens to be a medical expert!), but there is absolutely no way Arya could ever pull the s*** she does with a wound like that. We're supposed to believe that Arya's training means something and she wanders aimlessly around Braavos in broad daylight when she knows the most dangerous group of assassins in the world is after her. That's the kind of BS Walking Dead pulls, not Game of Thrones.

Agree with almost all that except this...How was her appearance completely contrived. Arya could have killed her by showed her mercy, it actually made sense that she would be Arrys only friend in Bravos. And knowing how to sew up stitches, and administer morphine in a world as brutal as this one does not make her a medical expert it just makes her prepared.

At this point I'm expecting Dany to get sidetracked again and somehow end up in Middle Earth for all of season 7.
