HBO's "Game of Thrones"

that episode ended up being more disappointing than it should have been.

-pretty much confirmation that there will be no
LSH
. kinda pisses me off how everyone in the cast/D&D were trolling that. oh well, can't get everything i guess.
-blackfish/waif fights/deaths off screen were kind of lame.
-this is easily tyrion's worst season. that's what, 3 scenes now devoted to him screwing around trying to get Greyworm and Missandei to act more social-like. actually kind of annoyed me watching him so desperately try to get them to drink.
-speaking of drinking, i finished the episode, flipped back on the lights, and discovered a roach in my glass of beer. not sure how long it has been in there...crap way to end it.

everything else was ok. I really want to see FrankenMountain wreck some fools. and i had the biggest smile watching Bronn and Pod

Speaking of epic unseen offscreen action? The attacking fleet? Dragooned?

I really enkoyed this episode like always. The ending was great. I do agree they should of shown the Blackfish going down swinging. I like the plot twist of "no more trial by combats"I'm interested in seeing what occurs now. We all know the next episode is where a huge chunk of the budget is going to be. Can't wait.

Anyone know where Varys is running off too?

Also, I thought it was interesting how Arya questioned what was west of westeros. Maybe setting up for something?

Back to Westeros to rally Dany support. The houses that supported the crown during Robert's Rebellion would be a place to start except the Tyrells and the Reach are tied in with the Lannister/Barratheon crown and The Martells are extinguished. I do think Dorne with its political instability will be ideal for the place Dany to land in Westeros and start gathering support.

Does anyone know what the rumor is Cersei was referring to?

You don't think that
LSH
could be the rumor? I could be remembering wrong, but didn't her disavowed maester say the rumor was much, much worse? Not to say he couldn't be talking about wildfire and things will be much worse for Kings Landing, but I didn't think it wrote off the possibility of a much worse scenario for the Lannister's, in particular.

no. that wouldn't make any sense at all.

I think this episode bummed me out the most since Jon's death.

The fan theories about Arya were better and more realistic than what happened (even the Fight Club one). How could a trained assassin stab someone that many times and they not only survive, but run around like they're fine? I was calling BS that entire scene.

Not only no LSH, but the change in the Brotherhood was just a tease. I thought at the least we'd see a more zealous Thoros or Beric and some build-up towards a religious war with the Faith Militant. Oh well.

I had been waiting on the "I choose violence" scene all season and, while not a complete dud, it just didn't deliver IMO. Leaving more than one survivor (Lancel) to run back and tell the High Sparrow would've been disappointing, but a body count of one?

The most immediate path to Clegane Bowl has been blocked.

I agree about Tyrion this season. They could have cut that entire scene except the ships outside and Dany showing up and nothing would've been lost. I thought ruling Mereen would be more involved, but instead Dany showed up just in time for spin the bottle.

And as someone else pointed out, the off screen deaths were cable-esque.

And yes, I'm venting so I can get it out and focus on the good.

Mereen is under attack, Dany is back in Mereen, and the Dothraki and the Iron Fleet are en route.

Arya seems to be heading back to Westeros (or further west?). Will she reunite with Nymeria (and discover her warg powers)?

Cersei is desperate and presumably has a lot of wildfire.

Margaery is up to something. No more trials by combat may have been her idea, although I'm pretty sure the Seven Pointed Star started the practice with the Trial By Seven (a 7-on-7 version). Maybe Kyburn will help Cersei counter with a scripture-supported request for a Trial By Seven.
The Mountain + 6 others vs. the Hound + 6 others would be epic!

Will Olenna escape King's Landing before the Faith Militant catches up with her (or were they just running her out of town)? If she's taken, will all hell finally break loose?

Bastard Bowl seems to be coming (but the WTF knows?). Little Finger and the Knights of the Vale are still lurking in the North planning to do who knows what (probably taking out the winner).

I assume that Dorne and the people in it have continued to exist, so something has to be happening there given what happened last.

Bran, Meera, and ColdBenjen have to be getting close to the wall with the White Walkers in pursuit. Will the White Walker attack finally happen once Bran passes the wall?

Anyone else wondering how Arya was able to perform like she was on American Ninja Warrior after being gutted like a fish?

I'm assuming that Arya just got lucky. The waif obviously missed vitals or Arya would be dead already. It would have been more believable, but not as initially jarring, if they had just shown the waif clipping her pretty good last episode, instead of gut shotting her like that.

What was in the drink the actress gave Arya? I wasn't paying attention but I figure that was the explanation.

that was milk of the poppy. it's basically the GoT universe version of morphine.

I'm curious if there was more to Lady Crane though. That particular bottle she was grabbing when the Waif came in and killed her, not sure if that was more milk of the poppy, or something else entirely. she could have worked some **** while Arya was unconscious.

I have been trying to figure out how Arya got chucky stabbed in the gut and lived but Areo ****ing Hotah took a mini dagger to the back and died instantly.
