HBO's "Game of Thrones"

So, can we discuss anything about the crazy season finale without violating the "spoiler rule?" My strategy has been to not read threads until caught up. Works well.

Tonight, in a nutshell:

YES!!!!!!!

NO!!!!!!!!

Somehow they turned the best plotline in the books into the worst on the show. WTF was that "battle"? I'm not surprised half of his army abandoned him, but I'm pretty impressed at how dumb Stannis was. Mel turned tail and got the hell out of there.

The Theon/Sansa escape was alright. Played brilliantly by Alfie Allen, again. If he doesn't get an Emmy nomination it's a travesty. That's part of the reason why I wish there had been more episodes - Theon's arc in the 5th book is probably Martin's best work and it was just so rushed here.

Dorne - what was the point of that again? Bring back the Greyjoys.

The Arya/Meryn Trant scene was fantastic. The blindness will be interesting to watch next season.

The Walk of Shame pretty much locked up Lena Headey's Emmy nom as well, and was pretty much exactly how I had imagined it. That lingering shot of Pycelle was hilarious - horny bastard (can't blame him though). And hype for Zombie Mountain! And Kevan Lannister.

Varys and Tyrion back together in a new stomping ground. Can Daario coexist with Jorah without gutting him in his sleep (or vice versa)?

The Benjen trick got me as much as it did Jon. That was cruel, D&D. And Olly has no right to say "for the Watch". With Jon dead (for a while, at least) Castle Black should fall into chaos.

All in all, I thought The Wall, Braavos, and King's Landing plotlines were adapted very well. Meereen was simplified but still pretty good. The North was alright until this episode. Dorne was awful the whole way through.

Starks and Lannisters both had hope and despair.

I imagined Cersei throughout her ordeal from confession to walk of shame plotting her revenge.

Lot's of storylines to wrap up - The Wall, Cersei, Dorne, Mereen, Many Faced God, Stannis, Sansa/Bolton

We've already seen Melisandre try to allure Snow. That had to be foreshadowing.

What happened to Brienne?

What does the walk of shame do to Cersei?

What will become of Jon's sword?

Will Drogon recuperate? Do the Darthroki help Dany and the dragon? Where are the other two?

So many questions...
