Anyone heard when the next book, number 6, will come out or if he has even started writing it? He is not a young man....I hope he gets them wrote, heard it was suppose to be 7 total, before he dies....that would suck monkey balls
I have some series predictions here. If you've already read the books please don't comment. I don't want to know if I'm right or wrong, I just want to hear some other predictions and discuss. So here goes:
-John Snow will become king of the Wildlings
-Arya is going to become some kind of assassin/killer
-Arya will kill Joffrey
-Something bad is going to happen with the Robb Stark not marrying the Fray girl thing
-Jaime is going to turn on his family
-One of the Lannisters (Joffrey included) will kill Tywinn
-Stannis's army will unite with the Brotherhood Without Banners (same religious ideals)
-Sansa isn't leaving King's Landing in any way, shape, or form
Any others? Or thoughts concerning mine?
The Sansa/Tyrion and Cersie/Loras weddings will never happen. No shot in hell.
I feel like this is going to get bad for Rob.
Question for the nerds. When Jaime was talking to Ned's right hand man (Jora I think was his name) in the first season, they mentioned someone riding into battle with his sword on fire. Were they talking about Thoros of Myr? I'm asking because Ser Barriston and Jorah Mormont were talking about Thoros doing something similar in tonight's episode.
Edit: Just found out that it was in fact Thoros they were talking about. And his name was Jory not Jora.
I rewatched the first two seasons with my roommate, and practically played as a 'guide' for her as she watched, clarifying the characters, which house is who from, and what the hell is going on in each episode. It was actually amazing to rewatch cause of how confusing it all is, I learned so much more.
Anyway, I wonder if they'll bring back the fact that Jon Snow's mother was north of the Wall when Ned Stark had sex with her. The fact that Ned Stark never wanted to tell Jon her name has me intrigued...
IMO It would be cool if Jon Snow somehow finds out about his mother...and his mother be some powerful figure in wildling history (a former queen/king) or his mother still be alive and because of how prominent she is in the wildling community, it makes him "The long missing wildling son of the great wildling family xxx!" And as a result makes him revered and automatically their leader.
IMO that would be badass for poor Snow. I want something truly good for him to happen....

Great mystery why HBO killed that show, I wish they would have wrapped it up.
I hope they dont do that with GoT.
So in essence, the reason for Deadwoods ending seems to be a financial one. Milch is working on a new series for HBO (John from Cincinnati) and, due to that commitment, HBO didnt believe that he would be able to return to Deadwood for quite awhile, delaying the possible start of a Deadwood season four. Deadwood is an expensive show to shoot and its assumed that the cable channel didnt want to (or couldnt afford to) pay the actor salaries for months while they waited for production to begin.
Ok another question for the nerds.
I've read the story of Robert's Rebellion a few times (highly recommend anyone who watches the show to do so by the way. Its a 5-10 minute read on Wikipedia and it will answer so many questions for you about the show). So this has always been my understanding: Jaime was part of the King's Guard for the Mad King. The Lannisters sacked the city. Jaime killed the Mad King, so now Jaime is the "king slayer".
My question is this, what did we find out about that story that was so revealing in the bathtub scene? He told the story of him killing the king (that I thought pretty much everyone knew), but at the end Brienne said "if this is true you need to tell someone" or something to that effect. What did Jaime say that we didn't already know about him killing the Mad King? Was it that he tried to convince the king to surrender? Was it that he cut his throat to make sure he was dead?
What am I missing here?
I don't think anyone knew about the wildfire that the Mad King had placed around King's Landing. That was the part Brienne was referencing, I do believe. Jaime didn't want him to burn the entire city, killing innocent children and women, thus why Jaimie became the King Slayer. He chose to save innocent people on behalf of losing his honor. Plus, he did not think Ed Stark would have believed why he killed the Mad King. Hope this helps!
