Former Minnesota St. Coach Hayden Fox has been seen at Chick-fil-a in Turkey Creek. Fox has a Tennessee background from coaching at Chattanooga and an NFL background with the Orlando Breakers. He is mostly known for winning the National Championship at Minnesota State in the mind 1990's. Expect Mike Hamilton to have a press conference today.

It will never work. Christine isn't leaving her anchor job in Orlando.

He should try to get Luther on staff as well, to try and re-kindle that Minnesota State University Screaming Eagle pride.

How does coaching the Predators equate to NFL experience? That kind of lack of defense will kill UT.

don't know if Luther is going to make the staff. I think Bud Kilmer has been contacted.

He was actually with the Orlando Breakers not the Predators. If Dauber comes, it's worth it. I believe he has a couple of Super Bowl rings.

a lot of people don't know this, but Hayden and Christine have a sweet vacation home in Lake City. I think he is Hamilton's guy, but I didn't want to jinx anything.

This is from the TV show COACH that aired for 9 seasons on ABC where Craig T. Nelson played as Hayden Fox, the head coach of the fictional Division I-A college football team, the Minnesota State University Screaming Eagles.

I would rather have Kiffin.:)

Hayden Fox and the screaming eagles were part of a reality program letting us into the lives of a real D1 college football team. The peope, places and events are real.

Ah! I don't know what I was thinking...of course it was the Breakers. I fixed it. Thanks.

I wonder if Dauber's hair still looks like Hulk Hogan's.

He's played a coach a few times. I don't remember the movies but maybe he's learned a thing or two? How Knows?

Before getting the Minnesota State job, he coached some small college team. Before that, he was a high school coach, where Tom Cruise was one of his star defensive backs...until he got kicked off the team. Oh man! That was a big night. Tom Cruise got a pass interference penalty that put the opposing team into striking distance. They eventually turned the ball over, but as the clock ticked down, Fox's team couldn't even rush for a single yard out of their own endzone. The tailback "Fostered" the ball in the endzone, where the other team picked it up to score a TD. Cruise gave teh coach lip after the game and got booted.

Didn't he still help Cruise get a scholarship to Cal Tech or something, even after he was off the team?

yes, but that was just because he eventually made, "all the right moves."
