I remember growing up in Birmingham, Alabama and getting on a bus while this song was playing. I heard the lyrics "Front Seat, Back Seat, gotta decide which seat i was gonna take" and that's when i knew that the civil rights movement was under way. I chose the front seat, i made up my mind which seat i was going to take, it was Frida...y, i got down on Friday and the rest was history.
