is IMO huge for this class. I can't remember our special teams going so sour as they have of late. Granted I love the skill players and hogmollies, but you can't win sqwat without a good kicker.

Oh yeah...it ain't as sexy as having a 5* WR, but man, this past season revealed how critical that position really is. We literally win 2-3 more games this season if we simply had a decent kicker and ST unit. Think about that for a moment...our game with UF is MUCH closer if not down to the wire...and Bama loses it's only game to us and their NC is out the window.

Palardy onboard will actually translate into a game or two in the win column next year...if not more. He is perhaps the most critical recruit this year.

I know he didn't have a good all american game, but kickers rarely do in that matchup. They don't get much time to practice and timing suffers. I grew up in Gallatin, and we produce alot of good kickers out of the soccer program. I've seen season longs of 57 yards every year for the last 10 years or so. (Ethan Ingham was on the UT roster until he lost his mind (he's the guy that hit 4 fg's in the orange/white game last year). Plus we had to play against Wilhoit, so I saw his talent in high school. That being said, from what I've seen on Palardy, he has one of the strongest legs I've EVER seen. This kid will be a huge difference maker in a conference that sees alot of really close games.

Kickers were an afterthought to me when we had Jeff Hall not too long ago. Ah.. the glory days..

If Palardy comes, then we will finish 1st in the SEC East, in my opinion. Kickers are that important, ask Tom Brady. (Without Vinatieri, he MAYBE has one SB ring)

I like a man with confidence. I'll have what he's having !

I like this guy, am excited to see him kick for us for 4 years...It is clear we need some help on (not so)special teams after last year.

If Palardy comes to the hill, he'll have a great ST coach in Eric Russell, (a Dooley hire). Russell has the ability to fix not only the kicking game, but the return game, which is in desperate need of an improvement. (I would like to see Rod Wilks return kicks, personally.)
