Have you or anyone you know personally ever visited a presidential library?

I wonder what Soetoro's library will look like? I guess when they take it out of the box we will all know. My guess is a giant dildo.

I went to the HW Bush museum while in College Station several years ago while in town for work. Like I assume most are, it was touristy and mainly meant to showcase what that President had accomplished. Wouldn't recommend.

I've also been to the Reagan museum and I actually enjoyed that one and would recommend it to anyone. The main attraction is Air Force 1 which is fun to walk through. There is also a Presidential helicopter, limo, secret service vehicle, police car and motorcycle from that period. I also remember some sort of fighter jet. It's interesting because it's not only about Reagan but also takes you back to the 80s and what technology was like at that time.

I went to Monticello several years ago in Virginia and remember it being interesting because it's a time capsule to what life was like 200 years ago. Lots of cool inventions and gadgets from 200 years ago that were modern technology at the time.

I’ve been to JFK’s in Boston and Calvin Coolidge’s in Northampton, MA. When I was a student at UVA, I considered going to Woodrow Wilson’s, which was less than an hour from campus. I just wanted to scout the location to see how easy it would be to burn down without getting caught. I never got around to it.

I’ve never been, but my dad and sister went to the Reagan one in Simi Valley California. We were staying with family in LA and it was a way to kill some time. Not Reagan fans by any stretch, but being able to walk inside a retired Air Force one was worth the price of admission.

I clearly don’t visit this sub enough, but what’s the deal with Hog and Lincoln?
Lincoln trampled the constitution as president. He also had a one night stand with hog's great-x4-grandmother and never telegraphed the next day. Hog still harbors a grudge.

Tell me more

He started the civil war, suspended civil rights, threatened judges with arrest for ruling against him, did have judges arrested and held without trial, sent in the Army to crush protests, allowed Sherman and other Generals to slaughter and savage civilians. Do you need more?

Lincoln had great taste in plays.

Arrested journalists, and started censoring various media sources. ignored both the Constitution and Congress on multiple occasions. his treatment of the Native population was probably worse than anything he did in the south including the largest mass execution of a civilian population in US history.
