locked Brandon Stewart out of a QB meeting with Cut so that he would be late? That he locked the door in an attempt to gain any advantage he could in winning the starting job. Read this post on TOS:

Heard he made him late to a meeting by locking the door prior to Cutcliffs 8 pm qb meeting...making Stewart late...giving the start to Peyton after Jerry Colquitt got hurt and Todd Helton told Cut he did not want to be the QB of the Vols bc he had a great future in the majors and never paid attention in qb meetings bc of that.

Also that he and Brandon would watch film together, decide they had seen enough and leave, but Peyton would then double back and watch more film.

That's why he's the greatest. Brandon who? Where's he? Don't be late! If he was there even earlier he wouldn't have been locked out. But I would really hope that after many evaluations, the staff felt like Manning was the better option. Not, simply because of locked door or late meeting.

He used to scratch Brandon Stewart in the eyes with his fingernails and pull out a pair of brass knuckles out of his shorts and hit him like Ric Flair.

I know he use to sneak into Brandons dorm late at night and dip his hands in warm water so he would wet the bed. He did all of the same things to Sorgi in Indy. How do you think he got that Super Bowl ring? Sure wasnt because he was better prepared. It was because Sorgi was locked out and he pee'd his bed.

True.Peyton wanted it more.

Dont get me wrong...we could have won alot of games with Brandon but he just didnt have the "drive" that Peyton did.

Kill :machgun: or be killed dog. That is why there is this old saying:

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Peyton's presence elevated the talent of athlete that came to Tennessee during his time here and made U.T. loaded with it. Now he is a living legend....and the only thing that has changed is he doesn't have to lock any other QB's door for meetings! :clapping: :eek:k: :good!: :salute:

IIRC, Brandon Stewart had a lot of trouble with the center exchange (and didn't see Peyton out there sabotaging that). Layed more than one of them down in his very limited number of snaps. At the time, that mattered. Who knows if there's a single ounce of truth to any of this?

If it comes from TOS it must be true. :lolabove:

If this is true, and it sounds like it may be. It is extremely funny and actually makes me respect Peyton even more. The man has an absolutely incredible drive to be the best. You gotta respect that.

It's Branndon. At least no one has written Payton in this thread yet. That's an improvement.

I attended a Boys Club dinner in Murfreesboro (the week after Peyton was drafted) in which he was the key note speaker. He told that story. It is true, heard from the Man-ning himself.

forgive us for not spelling the name of a third-string qb that was at UT for a year in 94-95 correctly (especially since he uses such a common spelling)
