We have no depth. And our top 7 rec class is going bye bye. What TOP coach in his right mind would come here. We dont have the in state players to overcome this. Let's hope for a miracle. Right now that's all we got. :vava:

It's actually a great situation for a coach who would like to stay a while. Kiffin's shoes are tiny ones to fill.

whoever we choose as a fan base we need to give them atleast 4-5 years before we even think about calling for their head b/c that is how bad we just got screwed with Kiffin.

Screw Kiffin. How is this a great situation for a good coach. Our recruiting class is falling apart. While Fla, Bama And Ga are pulling top 5 classes. Being real it will take years to recover the lost ground. Like I said, Hope for a miracle.

To answer your question... probably.

If this class falls apart then UT could be in trouble for several years... and it might last until Tn HS football actually catches up to the rest of the south.

You know I really blame this on Fulmer for getting so lazy and uncreative. If he had continued doing his job instead of resting on his laurels. This wouldn't have happened.

Guys, let's remember we had a terrible recruiting class a few years back--something like 35th or 38th? Terrible. Yet, we survived.

This year our class may be bad--probably WILL be bad--but we will survive.

The new coaching staff will hit the recruiting trail hard for next year and bring us a top class. The same with the next year, and the year after that.

We will survive this next season, and work on building ourselves back up. We'll be "back" in 3 years.

Have we been given a set back? Yes. But there is nothing saying that you need a high profile coach to be successful in the SEC. Yes I know it's the hardest conference to play in but I completely believe that you can bring in a harbaugh, or patterson or even another no name and be successful.
I believe that a solid COLLEGE coach will be great for UT

BTW, F@#$: Lane, Ed, and his psycho a$$ dad. And to bring a Tiger Woods Segment into this, Lane would try to pick up the bartenders at roosters all the time.

I understand what you are saying... but Fulmer got his punishment for that. He didn't do it intentionally... he just didn't have it any more.

Let Kiffin bear his own burden of blame. Fulmer didn't make Kiffin disloyal to a program and fanbase that treated him extremely well.

All the other SEC schools except Kentucky have got something we don't, In state talent. If we spend the next 2-3 yrs getting our tails handed to us, our recruiting is just going to suffer more. It could become a cascade meltdown.

Oh I will!! But Fulmer could have been a legend instead of a cautionary tale.
