Caroline Peck raved about MJ's athleticism after seeing her in practice last year. This young lady has outstanding hops for a 5'11" tweener. She is a big athletic guard that, last year, rarely saw playing time. I believe that she may not be a starter, but will and can have a positive affect upon the LV's upcoming season. We need to find a way to use her athleticism. When you look at her high school highlights she seems to have awesome potential, even showing the ability to dunk a basketball. I know she did not look all that good last year, however, she only played a limited amount of time and really was rarely in a situation to display her skill set. This young lady could be a pleasant surprise.

I agree, but like the rest of the guards she must work on her shooting. She can defend, but we need her to produce on the other side of the floor also. We need the coaching staff to really focus on the offense in the off-season. We need to average 70+ points again. I know Cooper and DeShields will be ready for next season and I'm hoping the rest of the team put in work also. If our guards produce consistently, I think we'll be in the Final Four. Holly please go redefine your offensive system this off-season.

I would have to agree with you. Her athleticism is tremendous. She can sprint, jump, and hustle through the roof. She reminds me of Kamiko Williams and LaToya Davis. They weren't used much in their early years being role players but once they were upper class-man they had EXTREMELY important starting roles for their respective teams. I see MiMi being a similar case. Hopefully developing a bit sooner than the above 2 mentioned.

I'm excited to see her play next year and see what kind of work she does this off-season.

No, I haven't forgotten MJ. Holly forgot MJ, including how to develop her for use in a less than elite rotation as it was. Maybe she should shoot 500-1000 shots per day until she is able to make jump shots consistently. Then she might carve out a place in the rotation.

She is very athletic without much of an offensive game. Hopefully she is working on that this summer. If she can score for us plenty of people she can beat out for playing time.

did she play enough to burn a red shirt this year ? I'm pretty sure she did, there must have been a problem with her practices this past season, not that I would have any idea what it was

Her issue was she looked lost out there like she did not know a play what to do . But she has a great upside i see her stealing Middleton minutes next year with her athletic ability and she has a great form. I believe everyone will be working on there game.

She can not redshirt and there was never any intention of red shirting her.

I agree with several posters here in that she has to work very hard on her individual game especially shooting so she can become a legitimate threat offensively. She needs to get in the gym and hoist up 1000 shots every day and maybe she can become a productive member of the team otherwise she will not become a starter despite being a great athlete.

Speaking of Middleton, I had a brief conversation with her the other day. I noticed a walking boot on her left foot and I asked about it. Seems she has recently had a procedure to remove a bone that was floating in the back of her ankle. That was what caused her to sit several games mid year. May possibly need similar on right foot as well. There is a technical name for it but I can't remember it or probably spell it. But it caused extreme pain with any movements that required the toes to flex downward. I.e. Jumping.

Os trigonum syndrome?

Hopefully this will get her back on track this season. I think she has a lot of upside we haven't seen yet.
