Everything is going to be alright. We will be East champions in our Second year. After that we will be battling for it every year , we will be on same level a Ga and Florida.
We will not be getting blasted by them any more.

Kill the program? Are you stupid, we got caught cheating, take the punishment and move on. Give the staff a chance and support the team that sticks around. If you can't, throw your Vol gear away and go support Bama. Fair weather so called fans bitching,, what else is new. Don't want you here anyway.
The term fair weather fans can be retired with Tennessee fans. Technically we didn’t get caught we turned ourselves in.

The sunshine pumpers like BDVol are so delusional! lol Calling a fan who supported this program through the firing of Fulmer, hiring of Kiffin, Dooley, Jones to the firing of Pruitt for cheating! Now a fan that "dares" makes a statement that this program needs to improve before supporting again is a "nega vol".

I guess there are some fans who enjoy mediocrity and will keep giving money to support a program that has been dead for over fifteen years now expecting a different result in the future. Tell me more sunshine pumpers ... lol

Amen, but I’m glad there’s safer ways to make a living!
Agree with that one. My wife's side of the family is full of coal miners. Some of the hardest working people you'd ever want to know. I'm glad most of them work above ground in maintenance.

Not worried about the NCAA. An SEC school had a coach on tape offering pay for players and nothing of consequence came out of it. I mean surely the coach got fired for that right? Nope still coaching. LSU basically told the NCAA to piss off and nothing came out of it.
I see LSU and UNC brought up repeatedly in this as though they are winners.

Sure, they told the NCAA to stuff it and have apparently got away with it. That makes them respectable? We WANT to be known as a program that cheated and told the NCAA to kiss our butt, we don't care?

This is what you toss out as the good, respectable way to handle things? I'm not sure why people bring up the thuggish behavior of LSU and UNC as "look at this....." Yeah, I looked. I see thugs who don't care.

Is that who you want to emulate?

Well, when one of our kids gets in trouble on the strip, all I ever hear is: Why can't these thugs have respect for authority? Get 'em out of the program. That's not who we are......

Really? We aren't? Is that what you're saying?

No...we have not hit bottom yet. Waiting for our punishment (internal and/or NCAA). Once those damages are done, we have hit bottom.

We keep saying “we’ve hit rock bottom, nowhere to go but up” but man do we ever just keep getting lower. We almost at the point that the only lower place to go is killing the football program. We got lucky with a decent HC hire, but it looks like filling his staff is proving to be next to impossible.

Now is when guys are supposed to be learning playbacks and watching film so they can hit spring ball with some knowledge of their new schemes. Just a truly terrible place the program is in. Absolutely shambles.
We currently are boring into the earths core...

Agreed. If we get more than 1 yr bowl ban and 3 scollys a year look out. And make no mistake, until the NCAA axe falls, our Rivals are using the unknown to negative recruit against is.

We've become soft over the years of mediocrity to lame. No this is not rock bottom. 3-7 still has room for error, 0-10 (0-12) is out there.

I’m saying we’re like almost all other major programs, we give players extra benefits to come here. We have for several decades. Probably always will if we want to be competitive.

I actually saw your previous post as flaunting the NCAA and praising LSU for telling the NCAA to "piss off."

So when an athlete gets in trouble, should we praise them and say, "Meh, screw that. He'll get off with a suspended sentence. Let him practice."

That IS who you apparently want to be. The kind of program that tells the NCAA to piss off. Right?

If you don't want to be a fan, OK. Step away and find some other use for your time until the program meets your approval again. Leave the rest of us remaining fans alone. We can do with less fans better than we can with a mix of loyal fans and whatever you want to call the rest. Nobody is happy with where we have been since the day Kiffin hit campus. We were not happy with the last few Fulmer years, but they were tolerable. Most of the truly loyal, thru think and thin fans, have a higher moral requirement for those in leadership positions across the board. We have paid the price for inept guys and for guys in over their head, but those losses did not bring the pain we are about to feel for cheating in large scale. And yes lots of us found it even more painful that large chunks of fans solution involved supporting the candidacy of guys who have demonstrated little value of character and morality. Doubling down seemed stupid. I for one am proud that our current leadership does not only seem to believe in the importance of character and integrity, but have openly defined them as principles we will use to build our program back. It may take more time to find folks to take on the task to do so, but I will not waiver in the depth of my support for our program. I really feel like I am not in any minority either. For sure the more vocal poles of our fanbase are on these boards and other social media, but the mostly silent majority will continue to hang in there once again. When we actually turn it around we will be joined by some new blood and another round of fair weather sports consumers. The cycle will continue.

Yeah, not a sunshine pumper. What are you gonna do to improve the program? Same thing that I am gonna do. Nothing. Bet you didn't get a call about who you wanted to hire. Sit back, shut up and either support what we have or don't. I guarantee that nobody gives a s### what you do. Sunshine pump that

Only problem with your argument is you feel compelled to tell others what to do and think! Sorry I don't buy your logic as I can speak and think for myself. If it bothers you then don't read my posts. See I can tell you what to do as well.

With the title of this post I'm reminded of that great line from Laverne and Shirley when Laverne says to Lenny and Squiggy; "This time you guys have really hit rock bottom." and Lenny replies: "Oh Laverne, not even close."

Yep. Ncaa is a bs organization. The way they handle punishments and their arbitrary rules should tell you that.
