Have Faith in Mike Hamilton

Faith? No way MH needs to go. IMPO, HM handled CPF's firing poorly...not that CPF did not need to go but in everything that led up to CPF's firing....when CPF failed to meet expectations MH should have been re-negotiating CPF's contract not giving him extensions.

MH's lack of effort in getting CLK to honor his contract then the cheap buyout was simply ridiculous. Now we have Trustees going around him as AD to speak with candidates. No MH needs to go then Jan Simek.

This is soo stupid. We have to wait and see what happens to crucify Hamilton. I still think Kiffin was a good hire. just bad circumstances. Just give it time to see what happens.

Stupid? Stupid is agreeing to a $800K buyout. Stupid was considering CDC...a selection which would have kept the fan base split for years. Stupid is how MH handled CPF's firing and CLK's departure.

Agreed with the part that $800k is wayyyy to small an amount for Kiffin's end of the buyout. Should have been at least $1.5 M for the first two years and begin ramping down after that.

Fulmer couldnt even hire competent Coordinators once his original staff left.
WHY WOULD ANYONE THINK HE COULD BE A GOOD AD AND HIRE HEAD COACHES?

Wait on Hammy to step to the microphone before we throw him to the wolves... Have faith.

Then he needs to step up to the microphone then. If he knew that Kiffin was interested in the USC position since saturday then he should have been raiding (and should still be) raiding the coffers to BUY a good head coach. At this point MY team is a laughing stock. Either BUY a coach or let Kippy coach the team until we can BUY (with an obscene amount of money) a coach. Hamilton must go.

Are you nuts... no one would agree to that.. You make $2 M one year but leave early and have to give it all back?? Maybe he should have put in a USC clause, but who knew Carroll was leaving?

Hamilton has clearly gone after a lot of potential candidates and they don't seem interested, thats nothing he can control. Its just a crappy situation all around. Hell look at USC, they are a top 5 program and when Carrol left everyone they went after said no thanks. Kiffin was their last resort and he wasn't exactly Mr. Popular. I don't claim to know everything about the search process for a coach at a major university but I would assume its safe to say that Hamilton doesn't have total control. When it comes down to it, its the boosters money that pay for a coach and I presume they have a lot of influence in the decision. I'm not ready to through Hamilton under the bus yet

Mike "Summer's Eve" Hamilton has rewarded everyone's patience and support with Dererk Dooley! Dooley will become the next in a long line of stepping stone coaches when UGA tires of Mark Richt and comes calling. Then UT can begin searching for the next stepping stone stooge. I am still convinced that if ... IF ... Hamilton survives the weekend it is only because he has pictures of Haslam with a goat.

I stand corrected, everyone. I sat here and defended MH tooth and nail, speaking of how he would make such a great hire and lead us in to battle with our rivals.

Well, I'm here to take it on the chin. This is a pathetic hire, and you all were right. We just hired a loser from the WAC that gained any notiriety he had from his redneck father and Nick Saban.

I'm here to take it like a man, please forgive me for doubting the REAL Volnation, not the idiots making stupid hires.

I'm sorry my fellow brethren.

I agree, MH is the AD and he is going to do what is best for UT. We all thought Kiffin was a great hire and it was for 14 months just a really bad contract situation. MH could not have seen that Kiffin was going to leave. He can't see the future. He is doing the right thing and trying to find the next coach of the program.

MH is really in a no win situation. Really what options does he have? Gruden, Cutcliffe, Muschamp, Calhoun all said no. Who knows what is a rumor or not.

The right coach doesn't need to be the first choice, it can be the last choice but as long as it is the right choice!!

...MH could not have seen that Kiffin was going to leave. He can't see the future...

There is a vast difference between "seeing the future" and "preparing for it." Mike Garrett of USC obviously began preparations when rumors started about Carroll and Seattle. When Carroll announced, he was ready to act. Before Carroll resigned, Kiffen told Hamiltrash that he would be a candidate for USC if Carroll left. Hamilton went to Colorado. He did not plan and has been forced to react instead of act. His management skills are a vacuum. Fire him TODAY.

Hamilton was giddy at the press conference. I think he knows something we dont know yet.

Liked the coach. Hope he brings in some great Coordinators and Keeps The Good ones we have.

I was thinking about it last year at fan day. Kiffin signed a football for me and he had the personality of a brick.

Anyone besides me feel like they gave birth.. THis has been one of the most stressful processes Ive ever not been involved with but felt like I was...lol
