Going to try one of Cedar Bluff called Sinister Chaos this year. We did Frightmare Manor in Talbot last year and I was very impressed. My friends did Netherworld in Atlanta and said it's the best they've ever been to. Anyone have any yearly haunted house traditions?

I know a lot of people around here love netherworld, I've never been though.

I want to go somewhere that's actually supposed to be haunted. People in costumes don't scare me, but if I experienced something truly supernatural, well that would be quite an experience.

Stayed in Atlanta with the Pride back in 2005 for the Alabama game. We all planned to go to Netherworld, but then spent all of our per diem money on beer instead. Ah, memories.

We used to go to the ones in Nashville every year. Always thought the Haunted Prison off Harding place run by the metro Fire/Police departments was good.

If you never been to Netherworld you need to. I believe its ranked top 5 in America. Best money ever spent on HH

Love stuff like this. Went to a place in Nashville a few years ago called demons den which was great. It was huge and took over an hour. Last year I went to some haunted woods and they were pretty good. I will be going somewhere this year but haven't decided where. I've read on fright mare manor but haven't decided.

Forgot my girlfriend went to the slaughterhouse in Nashville a few years back and has told me about it. Not sure how good it would be?

Frightmare Manor is impressive. It's a 3 part tour. You start off in a "mansion" (really just a decent sized house) and it's pretty well done, then you take a tour through the woods, then you go into a giant warehouse called the "insane asylum" and it's pretty intense as well. I would recommend it.

Thanks. I read you can get your money back if you do "the challenge" but I doubt I'd go for it. From people that have done it you have to eat whatever they give you and lay with snakes and that counts me out lol.

Yeah that's optional. I don't bother with that because of the "eating weird stuff". That's dumb to me. Without that I would probably try the money back challenge.

ASF Haunt

Andrew's Spring Farm Haunted Woods- Lewisburg, TN

No haunted house, but walk through the woods. It's cool, also ride on a flatbed trailer mounted with paint ball guns and go through the woods shooting zombies. It gets 9 stars from me.

A good haunted house sounds fun. I may try to check one out this year.

If you're in middle tn and looking for a shorter drive like myself...

Dead Land Woods MOBILE

I did that last year and if you go when it's pitch black outside its something else. The trails are over two miles and it's in the middle of nowhere. Even without the actors, being that deep in the woods will get you going. The actors are just for bonus jump scares.

Haunted outdoors are always better then Haunted Houses....we used to do a Haunted Swamp for the Chattanooga Nature Center.....made a killing, and people just get scared by being in the dark and woods... those were good times.

Definitely. It adds a sense of being lost or vulnerable.

You should lol. It's become a bit of a tradition for me and my girlfriend to go to one every year. Get my family to come along sometimes and we always have a great time.

Edit: figured instead of posting three times in a row I'd mention this. Has anyone been through ripley's haunted adventure in gatlinburg? I went a few months back and was very disappointed. I didn't expect much, but it still seemed short and basic. Very dark though.

I haven't but I've always been intrigued. I have heard that the "Mystery Mansion" (I think is what it's called) along the backside of the strip of downtown g-burg is legitimately haunted. It's all over those "haunted places of Tennessee" websites.

I wanted to go to mystery mansion but I was basically out voted lol. We decided on ripley's and it was pitch black most of the time. We were out in like 12-15 minutes. I was disappointed that we spent money on it. Next time it will be mystery mansion.

Enjoyed Frightmare Manor.

Short review - House was the best. Woods 2nd. The warehouse is the weakest and should probably be re-worked for next year.

We got their early - about 8:10 right after it got dark. I can imagine lines get long. If you get there late and it's crowded, go with the fast pass for a few dollars more. It'll save you wait time on all 3.

Took my wife and my mother. All 3 of us enjoyed it.

As a bonus, stopped at Pal's on the way. Hadn't eaten there in years. Oh my...love that place.
