I'd like to give props to Hardesty, who fights for his life for every inch, every time he gets the ball. Also, I love Lane Kiffin's play calling. Once we get a QB, we are going to be dangerous. That is all. Good game Vols, I aint mad at cha.

Agreed, its very easy to see that the offense will be more productive once we get receivers that can get open and and quarterback that can get them the ball.

Got to love what Lane is putting together here. We are a QB and a few receivers away from being a SEC and National Contender.

Couldn't have said it better. In the first half I loved it how we ran it down their throats. Second half, Florida had eight guys in the box 75% of the time 1-3 downs. If you don't have the ability to use the play action pass with a good running game, defenses will stop you.

All in all good effort and these guys should have nothing to hang their heads about. Hardesty was amazing. Kiffin was stellar. Good things are brewing in knoxville and I can't wait for the finished product!

We have got some good young receivers right now and with the guys we have coming in next year, we will be set. Add a QB to that mix and we are gonna be a handful next year...even with a young QB. I think if Bray comes in and has any talent whatsoever and picks up the system rather quickly, he will be our starter. Everyone yaps about wanting NS in there at QB but he is NO BETTER than JC. Can't wait til next year! GO VOLS!!!!

Defense: Considering how ineffective we were on offense and that Florida has the most explosive offense in football, holding them to just 23 points is quite a feat. A-

Offensive line. H U G E improvement from last Saturday. Despite Florida knowing we were going to run the ball, our O line still managed to open holes. When we did pass, they provided Crompton with pretty good protection. A+

Coaching Staff: They had our guys ready to play. Considering our limitations, I don't think the coaching staff could have had our guys anymore ready for this game. A-

Running Backs: Way to run hard, fight for every inch, and secure the ball. A+

Special Teams: kudos for not allowing Florida to return a punt or kick off back for a TD. However we gave up a LOT of return yardage that gave Florida good field position. C+

QB: Crompton threw 3 interceptions and zero touchdown passes. He didn't do anything specific to get us beat. However, our offensive scheme for this game was severely limited because he sucks so bad. Sorry Cromp but I am counting the days until you are no longer wearing an orange jersey! D-

WR/TE's: Our wide receivers and TE's were completely ineffective. We seemed to get no separation from Florida's defenders all day long. Plus, that pass in the endzone would've been a TD if Gerald Jones knew where he was on the field. D+

Overall: A loss is a loss. I don't care if it's to Florida or if it's to Lousiana Tech. I accept no moral victories! We are Tennessee! Moral victories are for the likes of Duke and Vanderbilt.

Pretty good, but I'd give Crompton a C. He didn't look like a deer in headlights today and he only threw 2 interceptions--not 3. And both INTs were on GREAT plays by UF's DBs. JC didn't lose this game and it'd be a shame for everyone to continue to pile on him this coming week. NS wouldn't be ANY BETTER. We just don't have a top notch talent at QB so we just gotta make do the best we can and that is with JC under center. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!

I didn't love Kiffin's play calling in the 3rd, though we should have stuck with what got us there... but all in all he did a good job.

Top notch talent?!? We dont even have "ok" talent at qb. Crompton would have a hard time starting at most of the football subdivision programs right now. I'm still scratching my head as to how we so severely mis-evaluated him. I understand that Crompton did nothing directly to make us lose. However like I said, because he is such a crappy qb, CLK was forced to scheme our offense to be one dimensional. So in an indirect way, it WAS Crompton's qb play that got us beat. Sorry but I cannot grade Crompton a C just for playing less sucky.

It wasn't as bad as last week. Kiffin himself admits that it's all "calculated"' that is, his insults and stuff. I think it wasn't a miscalculation at all, rather, I think Kiffin knew how bad Crompton was but he didn't want to admit any weaknesses. Specifically today, yeah, their d played well, but that first interception was Cromp's fault. It was woefully underthrown, so bad that it allowed the saftey to jump UNDERNEATH the route. Safteys are always taught to be over the top on coverage, but that throw was so bad that he didn't even need to be over the top! I agree that Cromp's suckiness indirectly had a large effect on the game. The game plan had to been primarily run because Cromp is simply not adequate to play quarterback at a major d1 program.

Crompton once threw into triple coverage. His first pick sucked. He was indecisive and had G Jones open in the endzone (his hesitation cost us the TD). He threw that one ball into the stands and almost got a penalty when he should have run to the left for a first down. He has no brains.

I hate losing, I hate it, I hate it.... but, this is the best I've EVER felt about a UT loss.... our boys didn't quit and I thought the coaching was outstanding.

I feel the same way. Never felt this good about a loss. Feels really weird to write that
