I guess you guys werent watching the overtime play where Berry got beaten badly, and if only Mitchell hadn't aired it out it was an easy TD to win the game.

Berry is without a doubt heads above anyone else on defense. I had to laugh, because the reason he was the man returning the fumble was he was the only one who had good enough hands to pick up the ball.

I have to agree,,,,Why in hades isn't he our return man????? :realmad:

Your first statement should answer your question...If Berry is heads above the rest of the defense, which I agree he is, why would you risk losing him in the return game where Rogan and Coker are doing an adequate job?

Hi Mr wet-blanket man. :eek:hmy:

:)

He has room for growth. But there is no doubt he is making plays on D.

Vinson is a tremendous athlete but he isn't as physical as he needs to be yet.

Why do our corners play 15 yards off the ball on 3rd and 1? That is ridiculous. It just guarantees them a first down and more.

Also, we should abandon the zone coverage. We are terrible at it. 90% of the time we cant get pressure and the QB will just pick our secondary apart.

Just a little rant on our awful secondary.

Berry did make some huge plays though and wasn't Hef the one that cause one of the fumbles?

Eric Berry really played lights out with the INT/FR/ and 12 tackles. Also, I think we found MJ's replacement in DeAngelo Willingham.

I'd have to see the play again, but I think you're right cibai, Mitchell just barely overthrew him. However, Berry is still the best freshmen I've seen at UT in a long time.

I'd say a lot of people said the same thing about Jon Hefney.

Give it time, Berry will be dropping interceptions, out of position, missing tackles, no blood lust, etc. if Fulmer and company remain for the duration of Berry's UT tenure. It's a fact.

the thing that stood out to me about Berry lastnight was that tackle he made on Cory Boyd in the open field..if not for that tackle, it would have been a huge gain

take that garbage elsewhere. I was talking with Cutcliffe after the game and he said we could have scored 50 on you, but we didn't really NEED it.

Hats off to Jacques McClendon for recovering another one of Arian Foster's untimely fumbles.....Does anybody else just want to avert their eyes from the field every time Foster gets the ball in the 2nd half now?.....I hate to say it but Berry reminds me alot of Morley right now - he can be Johnny on the spot but also get lost in coverage and beaten by slower receivers too.
