Hate to say this but UF has it right.

A guy on the job for a week doesn’t erase decades of incompetence dude, that will take time. Lol
What happened before he took the job is irrelevant to his job going forward. He no different than anyone else can change that.

Feel free to wallow a little longer in it. I'm not sure as to the point in that, but to each his own I suppose.

Dan Mullen just got busted by the NCAA as well for recruiting violations. We fired our coach for that and Florida didn't...

What a useless damn thread.

OP had people thinking Florida lost Mullen and already had him replaced with Hugh Freeze or something.

It’s ridiculous. Muschamp got 4 years. McElwain got 3 years. Going back, Zook got 3 years. Florida doesn’t pull the trigger any sooner than anybody else.

All missing pieces from one coach to the next. Zook had the doing pretty decent but could never get over the hump. Insert Meyer and they get two NC just like that. Meyer flies the coop and Muschamp in there. Started off hot, but he knew dick about offense and it showed as they were awful. Remember the 10-9 at Neyland game? Muschamp knew defense though, something like six Gator players in the first forty picks of the NFL Draft. McElwain goes in with offense but no defense. He wanted out and was sorta bizarre anyways. Mullen in there is sorta the reverse of Muschamp; great offense but knows nothing about defense.

They dont put up with loser coaches. They move on and pay the price. I hate Florida but they are so much better run than UT it is almost criminal Flame on.......

Not that different, just in between Zook and McElwain they found a really good one for 5 years

Zook 3 years
McElwain 3 years
Muschamp 4 years

The Jack a.. got us screwed with the NCAA. We would have kept his dumbass if he didn't get caught. Fulmer would still be in charge. How ridiculous.. This crap would not have got to this at UF.
I wouldn’t surprised if we knew all along and turned ourselves in so we can avoid the buyout.

Less than a week after we ran a coach after only 3 years, this doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Don’t kid yourself. If Pruitt ran a clean program, he’d be scheduling spring practice sessions this week.

This is what happens when you go cheap. The UTAD has absolutely banked on the loyal Vol fan who will renew tickets and show up year after year. If a cheap hire will get you to do that, then why would they ever spend the big money for a great hire?

Probably true. But I don’t think that’s a symptom of anything other than the economic reality of dealing with contracts with large buyouts.

Just as long as we’re clear you hate Florida. These things are important when weighing the credibility of your post 👌

We have been fine at firing coaches. Our problem is hiring the right one. Their level at sucking at it is far better then our level at sucking at it.
