Not really.

They did turn the ball over a lot.
And we didnt win with our firepower - it was more a combination of our defense and their carelessness with the ball in the clutch.
And I wouldnt call 7 points extremely close.

Why is hatvol like the all-mighty great and powerful forum member is what I want to know.

I dont understand. What's wrong with giving the man credit for his knowledge?

We don't have to either overly praise or be hyper critical of Hat. He's a smart dude, and he sharpens our intellect here, and he's also not a soothsayer. His prediction was probably way more accurate than I (or most on here) would've done. 7pts, in the manner they won, is extremely close - the game was only decided with about 30 sec. left. "Firepower" means going 9-deep with solid contributions from numerous players in all aspects of the game.

That said, my only question for Hat is, were you surprised by the turnover margin, and especially the 15-3 margin in steals? Those two lines showed me our toughness and focus were on yesterday, especially from our guards. Lavender looked tired the last 5 min or so.

I'm surprised they turned it over twice as much as we did. Tennessee did an excellent job of turning over secondary hallhandlers. If my quick review of the box score last night serves me correct, Lavender, Burrell, and Raymond turned the ball over 8 times. That means the rest of their guys turned it over 13 times. Having a 5-1 ratio in steals is impressive, but you have to take into account that our defensive system focuses on turnovers and X is more of a basket protection team.

What did you say he was?

Starts with a vowel, ends with a vowel, has 2 sets of double letters and is a not so glorious body part.

As I stated to Vol Freak, most super intelligent people are that, I am too... It's one thing to be able to make a point on a MB, which alot of people can do, but I feel confident that if you put 99% of this board in a person to person debate with Hat about ANYTHING, he wins them all.

Well, I have a prediction: you will never be confused with hatvol. No offense, but if you watched that game, you'd know it was just a 3 point game, and 4 of the 7 points were tacked on under a minute left at the foul line when we were salting the game away. If you don't think this game was close then you didn't see us down 4 with 3 minutes left. I'd say that's pretty close.

I don't think Hat has ever hated Prince he just doesn't hype him up as much as alot do. Like he pointed out, Prince wasn't on the floor during UT's run last night.

Hat has had alot of negative comments about Prince throughout the year. Not just in the last 3 games. It has nothing to do with hype. Everything to do about being stubborn and can't admit that he is wrong.

But what I'm saying is that he never said that Prince stunk, he was just pointing out that Prince isn't going to be PG and isn't going to live up to crazy expectations.

Hat, has your opinion on Prince changed any or are you waiting to see if that was a fluke performance?
He's played very well, so far. He's also played the same amount of time at point guard that I have. His ballhandling is a plus when he is a secondary handler. If he gets minutes at the point, he'll be as big a failure in Knoxville as he was in Tucson.

I guess I should have specified. I didn't wanna know your opinion of him as a PG, but as a player/contributor. Even as bad as our PG play is right now, I don't think he would help at all there. He is playing where he needs to play.

What do you think of him playing some kind of point-forward like Dane did last year? With a little less ball handing than Dane.
