If you can answer these, great! If not - boooooooooo.

1. Who should have won SEC Coach of the Year?

2. If you had to pick a REAL All-SEC team, which 5 players would you have chosen?

3. What mid-major team do we (UT) not want to see in the 2nd round or Sweet 16?

4. Who do you feel deserves the four #1 seeds?

5. What are your thoughts on Wayne Chism? I know how you feel about Lofton, Ramar, Jajuan, Tyler, and JP, so what about Wheezy?

6. I asked this halfway into the season - what should be the minimum expectation for this team? Elite 8? What is the BEST we can hope for? Championship?

7. Is Tony Jones the best assistant in the SEC?

8. I know your thoughts on Renaldo Woolridge - what do you think about Jurick, West, Hopson, and Kenny Hall?

9. Do you expect Tennessee and Coach Pearl to be consistent recruiting machines? If so, can we expect to be like Texas, where we always have an Elite 8 caliber team?

10. Lastly, if Tennessee is in the Phoenix regional, will you come? If so, first 3 rounds are on me.

1. Bruce Pearl.
2. Foster, Tyler Smith, Jajuan Smith, Gordon, and Vanardo.
3. St. Mary's or Western Kentucky.
4. Tennessee, North Carolina, UCLA, and Memphis.
5. Improving. Still needs to improve his offensive game around the basket and be more judicious in when he shoots the three.
6. I think this team should reach a regional final. They can win the tournament.
7. Given that Rob Evans has won an SEC title as a head coach, I'd go with him.
8. Woolridge has made some nice strides. He's much batter now than I expected him to be. Jurick and West are likely to be career backups. Hopson and Hall are the kind of players you have to get to remain nationally relevant.
9. I think that's a reasonable expectation.
10. Yes.

Gracias sir.

Do you think West could possibly be a GOOD starting PG in 2009-2010 if he took the role of tablesetter for Chism, Crews, Hall, Tatum, Prince, potentially Hopson, et al?

I see no reason to think he wouldn't be competent, but unless Ramar picks his game up he'll still be here then.

I'm thinking next season Ramar will become more of a scoring threat and parlay that into a draft pick. Wouldn't hurt us or West's future if Ramar stayed through 2010.

Hat, right now at bracketology, we're in that region with 2 seed Duke, 3 Wisconsin, 4 Notre Dame, 5 Michigan St, 6, Washington St, 7 Gonzaga, 8 Davidson, 9 Miami

We're in the Final Four in that bracket, aren't we? Michigan St and Duke would be the only teams who could beat us, I think.

I would certainly like our chances.

Steppin in here real quick I'd not count out #7 Gonzaga, they might prove to be a Butler Bulldog type of match-up.

Hat, do you think that the selection committee will take into account the two controversial losses that UCLA was a part of last week? If that shot was against the rules because it came from behind the backboard would they consider that as a lost and maybe bump them from a 1 seed to a 2?

Surely not. That would open up a whole new can of worms when evaluating games. You have to go off of the "official" outcome. But you were asking Hat. Just giving my two cents.

Actually, I do believe they take blown calls into account.

Assuming that they do (doubt it, but I have no evidence either way), how far back does that extend? Ten games? Twelve games? The whole season? Bad calls made in the last 30 seconds? Two minutes? Five minutes? It just seems slippery.

I could care less who answers the question, the more input the better if you ask me. I see where you are coming from about the new can of worms.

I was specifically wondering about the shot from behind the backboard where that was clearly against the rules but the refs gave them the bucket anyways. This is the type of blown calls I was wondering about, not missed fouls. If we were talking about missed fouls, they would be up all night considering everything.

So would the committee see this in their own eyes as a loss and maybe bump them to a 2 because of this?

In short, no. A win is a win. Now, on the other hand, they might give Villanova some unspoken credit for getting ripped off against NC State and Georgetown.

I would not enjoy a matchup with Wisconsin. They are the complete opposite of our team, and Bo Ryan is as good as it gets when it comes to exploiting the weakness of the opposition.

So Villanova gets unspoken credit but Cal and Stanford don't get any credit for blatant robbery at the hands of the referees?

Cal isn't in NCAA contention and Stanford killed any sympathy they would have gotten by showing up Saturday and getting their heads handed to them by USC.

That's true but UCLA should get negative response for the same reasons then... Doesn't the Pac 10 have a conference tournament?
