This! If Haslam was a big part of the reason Hamilton fired Fulmer, Fulmer could get his buddy Charlie Ergen to bankroll the Haslams three times over. The Haslam's are worth 2.9 billion compared to Ergen's 9.2 billion. I think the Haslam's have done their share to cause issues within the program. But, it is primarily the program itself getting in it's own way and continuing to make STUPID DECISIONS!!! Let's hope that has come to past and we can have a BOT, president, booster program, etc... more in line with our SEC foes that have made much better decisions the last 10 plus years!!! LSU, Auburn, UF, UGA, Bama, and recently Texas A & M have recently looked very competent in firing and hiring within the athletic department lately compared to UT. Hart and whomever else involved in the decisions dig give us Barnes. That has turned out to be a SLAM DUNK HIRE. Now, let's hope Fulmer and the administration can right the ship for the CASH COW of the UT Athletic Department!!!

I've never posted that book in any thread besides this one. Boca ask for proof. I posted what Celina has publicly posted. Not posting any other content she hasn't.
The screenshot of Alan Jones I posted saying it was the decision of one person on the outside and that he wasn't saying anymore is all the proof anyone needs. What does how he made his money have to do with anything? The pilot rabate scam is fine with you but your calling out Alan?

If you haven't read the 100 interviews in the book how can you not call it research?

The Gov shrunk the BOT from 27 to 11 last Spring. It's easier to get 11 on board with your thinking than 27.

Actually no. Just the first few posts but after a little investigation I found post almost identical to mine. I think this validates the basic assertion that no one knows. This research crap is just that crap 💩. Why is there always a need for people to place blame when they’re disappointed? There’s a lot of good things going on with UT athletics right now but here we are again talking about the Haslams. Do they not get any credit for the good things going on? NO they don’t. Just the failures of the football program. Silly.

Looks like somebody is mad that the truth is out.

Summers said she was surprised the Haslams agreed to be interviewed for her book then realized it was so Jimmy could try to smooth over the image that fans now have. Reading between the lines in the interview you can see exactly how Jimmy believes he knows what’s best and that the University shouldn’t “kowtow to the masses”.

Luckily the blowback is so big that Jimmy appears to be stepping away from his need to influence the big moves. Maybe we can finally climb out of the hole.

In my experience dealing with people with money ive found they want 2 things more than anything. Convenience and more importantly control. Ive dealt with people in racing who had money and thought they knew something about racing. They want to run the show and do things their way regardless of if they win every week or are lap traffic. They just like knowing they control things and are running the show. This might not correlate to this situation or not but it sounds similar.

You know, my views on this subject have been a little more centered.
Each Haslam being different, some good being done also and the bad not being evil, just arrogance.
But as a general observer of the rest of the debate, here is what I've seen.
1 side providing links, quotes, interviews and articles. Whether you agree with them or not, they brought them.

Then, there's been your side. Which has brought deep thoughts such as "crap", "dumbass fans" , "Ignorance" and "peasants".

One thing I agree with, one side is definitely coming off as showing ignorance.
I just don't think it's the side you believe it to be.

That's for the people that claim Phil and Bev were these anti-Haslam superhero crusaders out to save Vol Nation. Running around telling the Haslams to stick it where the sun don't shine. Those photos are from an event to basically welcome Phil and Pruitt to their new jobs, with Haslam being the keynote speaker and main sponsor of said event.

Ive said I think a lot gets exaggerated. I know Jim and his wife donate a chit-ton of money, but I'm not saying those donations don't come with a heavy price. Our football program has sucked ass for the better part off the past 10 years and someone is responsible for it and it ain't the fans.

So I ask you again, GI e me an example of "most of the crap on Haslam is crap". I can't prove its not if I don't know wtf it is.

Those photo ops and events are also more business than anything. We have all smiled, kissed ass and done business with people we would like to set on fire.

But why? Phil threw off the shackles of the Haslams and put them on the road out of the UT football program.......except he didn't if he has to go smile and suck up to them still. See where sense isn't being made here? Truth is, Phil and the Haslams are friends. Big Jim's approval is what it took for him to replace Majors.

Would one of you "proofers" be willing to prove what it was that Jones was talking about here? It's obvious what it is. Unless you can prove otherwise.
