The decline of Tennessee football which was a nationally know brand would make me question the value of the degree from the business school. Clearly the administration knowns little about business or about caring for a brand and it's value. Why would anyone think the education and the professors at a college of business where s multi-million dollar brand was systematically destroyed was worth anything. VFL cause I'm in to deep.

Yeah Vanderbilt’s poor football program has really diminished its academic reputation, might as well be Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at this point
Get a grip, the world does not revolve around how well UT is doing at football at the moment

If you would change the name back to GLOCKER the curse would be lifted!
I think Glocker was just the name of the building. When I was at business school at UT, I think it was just called the College of Business Administration.

Glocker was the building name but after renovation, it was discarded. The building is now James A Haslam II Business Building.

That's happening all over campus. Estabrook and Pasqua building names are gone. Buildings are now named for donors, not significant individuals from the school's history.

Dr. Glocker established the School of Commerce in 1914 and grew it to it's accreditation in 1947. Hence they named the B-School building after him. Any of us at a certain age that went through the business regimens could generally be found lurking at Glocker. With a huge donation, Haslam renovated the building and the name changed in 2009.

Fulmer was fired in November of 2008.

Sounds curse worthy to me.

Maybe comments like these are perhaps destroying the Tennessee brand?!

You have to overlook fanatics that think the University of Tennessee exists for football.
The administration loves the money donated by the Athletics Department but understands it's charter is to educate students in the Great State of Tennessee. They do a fairly commendable job at that. Football is not king, nor should it be, we are not Alabama.

Sure hope it doesn’t devalue it, my wife is in their MBA program, and I need her to make the big bucks so I can sit around on message boards all day

Wow...

Harvard, Pennsylvania, Northwestern, Cornell, Chicago, MIT, Cal, Columbia, Yale, NYU, Dartmouth, Virginia, Duke...obviously some tarnished business schools because they allowed their football to be mediocre to even nonexistent for so many years.

I wonder if their grads are actually on a message board worrying about the value of their degree because of how their football team performs --- rhetorical question.

UT has been led by morons for the better part of 2 decades now. That the football program has been a mess as well is not unrelated

There’s a reason Pilot is being investigated. The Haslams ruin everything they touch: the Vols, Browns, and the TN state government

I believe those trials are over.
A sacrificial lamb was offered up.
Jimmy was the escape goat.
You cannot convict the ultra rich or powerful in our country.
Our legal system considers it poor form to even try.
