Just look at the latest disaster hire for the Browns, folks, and you will see the latest example of the Haslams’ ability to hire a head football coach. Is it any coincidence that the Browns are as good at hiring coaches as UT?

These idiots should not be allowed anywhere near a UT coaching search.

Pretty much. At most you need someone with enough sway to keep everyone on the same page. Fulmer can do that. I’m not sure if he’s the right guy for the job but he can keep the booster mostly on the same page including Haslam.

He’s the guy we need right now
He might not be much on the hiring side of the job but I think he can keep the fat cats out of everything that crosses his desk

Yep, I have a group of friends that know them quite well. I few weeks ago FK had an event and they were all joking about paying 400 to go see him.

Kitchens, Chudzinski, Pettine, Hue, and Mangini proves that bargain bin coaches dont work in the NFL either

The only winning stretch the Browns have had recently was when Gregg William's was interim....

They have moved out of the state of Tennessee, that Pilot scam embarrassed their family and now they've packed up for Ohio. They don't care about this place anymore, their attention is on killing the Browns. Big Jim Haslam isn't a terrible person but the sons on the other hand are terrible people.

Kind of hate it for Freddie. Didn't the Browns play well last year after he took over?
Also liked Freddie when he was Bama's QB. He was easy to beat. :)

Daddy Jim Haslam is a great person. Wish everyone was like him. He's a blessing to be around.

I enjoy ragging on the Haslams as much as anyone, but I've never heard a good rebuttal to this point, which is they have been huge donors/influential for decades, including when we were really good. Something has been different in just the last 10-15 years.

Big Jim is definitely the best IMO of the family.

Yeah you had an AD that could handle the boosters in Dickey. All went to hell with Mike Hamilton. Ironically Phil Fulmer is the endorsement that sealed the deal and got Hamilton hired as AD. That would lead to the end of Fulmer as a coach and send Tennessee into a spiral.

I had always heard that Fulmer and Hamilton didn't get along.
