Fascinating. I wonder if they will move it to area 51 :D

Seriously, I wish they would produce some photos if they are going to make a claim like that. Who knows, there may be something to "The Epic of Gilgamesh" after all :D

I bet you do not believe in Area 51 either, how can you discredit Bob Lazar!

"The Epic of Gilgamesh" after all

Or any of the 50 or so flood stories, my favorite one is the Hawaiian one.

:biggrin2:

I believe there is a secret base somewhere near Nellis AFB where they keep some sort of top secret aircraft, but I don't believe in ETs. Except of course for the Borg. They're coming you know. We will all be assimilated. RESISTENCE IS FUTILE

So you do not believe Bob Lazar's story?

I think it is like any thing else, we wanted to test new aircraft and the government sensationalized ET/Spaceship traffic to steer public view away from their new test aircraft.

Heck, the Russians did it............

I think the media, more than anyone, has sensationalized the UFO craze, but I do definitely think that the government, specifically the military adds fuel to the fire. It definitely does divert the public attention away from possibly top secret aircraft if you can make the public believe that what they really saw was extra terrestrial.

i'm not convinced, sounds like more lies.

Neither am I convinced, I would not believe it if they brought back a piece of wood and displayed it as a piece of the ark.

Two things would come to mind:

1.) What is/was Gopher/Shittim/Acacia Wood
2.) Preservation

*On a side note, lets accuse them of lying simply because they are christian! Nice............

Proof of Aliens!

They've been talking for years about something called the Ararat anomaly. Supposedly the CIA has some top secret sattelite photos of something that looks like a boat buried under the ice on top of Mt Ararat. If these photos really exist I wonder why they wont release them.

You have never watched the History Channel special on Noah's Ark?

They show the photo's, fairly unimpressive. Pretty looks like a spike/bow a ship sticking out of an ice formation.

I will try and find a photo for you........

Yes, I've seen the History Channel special. One of the ones I watch was talking about the CIA sattelite photos which are supposed to be alot more conclusive. Those are the ones I'd like to see. The pics they have on those shows look like they could be just about anything. Like you, I'm not impressed.

Some CIA Photo's, supposedly 55,000 have been declassified. Personally, if the Ark exists I do not think they are looked at the right place/area.

High on Mt. Ararat in eastern Turkey, there is a baffling mountainside "anomaly," a feature that one researcher claims may be something of biblical proportions.

World Daily

The CIA has released two new documents that indicate the search for ''Noah's Ark'' reached the level of the White House, according to a report in Insight Magazine.

Turkish Times

The release of the documents comes two years after Insight published an exclusive story on the search for the biblical Noah's Ark.

The magazine teamed with Space Imaging to use its IKONOS satellite to zoom in on an anomaly in Turkey located at 39 degrees 42 minutes north latitude and 44 degrees 16 minutes east longitude.

I would never call anyone a liar because of what they believe. I used to be a strong Southern Baptist myself, and I know that most Christians are very sincere in what they believe, and live it to the best of their ability. I chose to leave christianity after I studied the teachings of the faith in depth for myself and came to some disturbing conclusions.

I agree that the world is a very evil place, and it always has been.

I agree. I really don't know if the flood story in the bible is meant to be taken literally or not, but if there really was a man named Noah who built an ark and survived a flood, I believe that ark detoriated long ago. Just like the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail, I think they are looking for something that no longer exists. It does make for some interesting speculation though.

The good news is that in a few years after global warming has raised the surface temperature of the earth by a few hundred degrees, the ark will be freed from its frozen resting place atop mt. ararat, and slide gently down the muddy face of the mountain to newly flooded region below to once again sail an earth covered by water.

Then we can finally lay all this silly speculation to rest.

What faith and what teachings did you study?

Like I said, I was raised Southern Baptist, and that's what I was most of my life. What I studied was the bible itself. Without getting into too much detail, let's just say that there are some things in there that I found quite appalling.

Well, Southern Baptists have only been around for a couple centuries. Read into Catholic, 2000 years of Christianity, tradition and teaching, which clearly states that the Bible is not supposed to be taken literally but wholistically.
