I'm not even going to lie, posts like this from people like you make me want to take a rusty fork and shove it so deep in my eyes I won't have to read BS like this anymore.

Cool thing about this whole dang internet thing it that you do not have to read anything on here period. That should save you a lot of pain, and keep your fork from getting blood and eye stuff on it.

People are talking like BGSU has a Vandy like offense. News flash BGSU isn't a bad football team by any stretch on Offense. They run a high octane and very sound offense. They are a very good team on offense. Defense not so much.

I seen a few people literally disappointed that we didn't beat them like Ole Miss beat UT Martin. BG has a VERY good offense and is night and day better than UT Martin.

Only we could ***** about a 29 point win.

Yeah, Bowling Green looks really good. Their QB threw for 424 yards. I guess when they play lesser defenses he will throw for 1000 yards a game.

Just watch Butch's post game.....he seems very confident. I believe if there was legitimate concern, it would show in his demeanor. Last year, you could see his concern from game to game. Didn't see any concern in his post game presser.

I agree - secondary looked suspect today. But that was a really high octane, fast paced, misdirection, unconventional offense today. Even with that - BG was only 4 of 18 on 3rd down. 22%. Nobody beats us with that 3rd down percentage. Oklahoma won't come into Neyland chucking it around like BG did today either. And our rush defense is very strong.

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma next week is going to be a GREAT, exciting game. If anybody gets blown out, it will be Oklahoma. Our defense IS better than last year, and so is our offense - and we have them at home. I saw nothing in our offense or defense that leads me to believe we have anything to be concerned about that we weren't already concerned about before todays game. We won by THIRTY POINTS and let off the gas in the 4th qtr = 25% of the game. We covered the spread, nobody was injured.....today was a great day and it is great to be back in season. GBO!!

Yes, it's a 29 pt victory but just the thought that a MAC team came into Neyland and posted 30 points IS concerning IF...you are a team with aspirations of being a top 10-15 team this year.

I really didn't expect that. That is a lot of points to give up to that caliber of program.

I'd love to think BG is just a surprisingly really good offensive team who can score on anybody. I hope that is more the case here.

I guess we will find out.

Oklahoma threw 42 passes Saturday against Akron expect more of the same against Tennessee.

BGSU would beat UTM by 40-50 pts.

In all sincerety, i really appreciate posts like this. Its so easy to get caught up in the emotion of the game, and last night was as charged as prob last years FU game was. Keeping it positive and seeing the good from the game brings the abso necessary levity that often gets lost in the vision.

Yes, it woulda been nice if the young guys could have kept up w their receivers, but they didnt until the second half. It woulda been nice to see our highly touted DL in their backfield more, but they weren't. Good news is that any issues are indentifyable and fixable. The D is the area where we should have faith based on last years performance. The O line kept their D out of the backfield for most of the night. I just hope the our passing game picks up the successes. The 5 yard completions were fine last night, but they wont work next week or three weeks from now. Not sure if thats fixable, but gosh I hope so.

Thanks for your positivity.

I must of been at the wrong game if it was played at Neyland.

UT Martin is a very low level FCS program. They will not compete for the OVC championship.

Bowling Green is predicted to win their division of one of the stronger mid major FBS conferences. MAC has dominated the sun belt conference in recent yrs such as western key, middle tennessee and Arkansas St. The MAC has wins in recent yrs over Big Ten teams.

There is no comparison.

BG offense is that good, just because they are a MAC team doesn't mean they can't have a high octane offense. A lot of VN posters didn't do their film study on BG.

I thought the defense didn't look too bad considering the Martinez announcement an 1 hour before the game. That QB will be one of the best QB s we face all year and give credit where credit is due their recievers were coming up with some grabs. And we rushed for nearly 400 yards with a "mediocre" oline and was 11 yards away from 3 guys breaking the century mark. All in all the defense got some work to do and the offense actually looked like what we should've looked like for the first time in a while. Good win and looking foward to the Sooners next week. GBO!

He had a green shirt on in practice.I really think there getting him adjusted to the speed. Also we played a no huddle fast paced team that wont sub.Playing the sooners the vols have no choice but to rotate vickers,obrian.williams,tuttle.k mac,Saulsberry to play with young OU young line. OU Stuggled with akon line for first half. There all mighty rb ran 11 for 28 1 td gonna be a good game

He was sweating as much as guys who were playing just standing around yesterday. IMO BGSU was having too much success and too long of drives to risk tossing Khalil in when he might not get relieved.

Did the kid play?

Back to the actual topic of the thread.....

I was there, yes he did come in to play the same time dormady came in as qb so he played a couple of series.

He was getting double teamed most of the time from what I could see
