After the past few years of booing our coaches, quarterbacks and other players... Not surprised.

This program is at its lowest point in a looonnng time. Remember we basically have a roster that was built with two years off from participating in recruiting. All the upper classmen all these great teams have.....we have none of them.

I don't think this is the lowest point. Pretty damn close though. Many of the same feelings

Easily the lowest point in about thirty years, and definitely in the running for the worst stretch of UT football ever. Things will turn around at some point.

2008-2011 is going to match a lot of the worse four year runs in UT football history.

If a Vol fan is going to put a bag on their head at the stadium then just stay at the house. Also, stay at the house when we start winning again. I've never seen nor heard anything so ridiculous.

The team started 0-6 in 1988.

...and finished 5-0 to end with a 5-6 record. The year before we were 10-2-1 and the year after we were 11-1.

That season was an aberration and is no where near being in the running for the seasons from 2008 until now.

Hey I know what we can, we can start playing musical coaches, and see if we can match Bama's run......nothing insures great recruiting like instability.

We haven't won a title in 13 years. What did you expect?

$2 million more than any active coach is not "lucking up" on a real coach. He had won a NC at LSU, and like Spurrier he was not successful in the NFL. He was wanting an out and Alabama was it. With their number of championships, tradition, and the recruiting base in state, it was a no brainer for Saban. It isn't that easy in TN, that is why we recruit nationally and have a budget to do so. Thats why USCjr hasn't won a championship as well. They have pretty much sucked for years until the last two. Wasn't long ago that Spurrier was talked about as on the hot seat!

But you might luck up on a real coach like Bama did.

Sure after another decade, and if you can afford to spend the money they did.

Tell ya what if someone says Fisher is available for even 40 million i say do it, even if we have to sell Neyland and rent.....but i really just do not see any Coaches on tha table that fit that bill right now, certainly not that UT is willing to pay for....we spend half of what Bama does on their program, and even that is pulling teeth.

Well didn't mean "lucked up", Saban was a sure thing, but did get lucky with the turn of events, could have been stuck with rich rod, so the right coach could turn things around quickly for ut even if you have to ride that roller coaster trip for a while
