The Lady Vols lost to South Carolina on The Summitt. Which brings to my attention. What's the record for home losses in a season?

I don't know off hand. But I'll bet Holly probably has the record.

I know if she don't win out and a game in the tourney she will break THE RECORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes IT is broken. So bad that any discussions are a waste of time...ā€¦..talking should be over........AD should make the call and lets put this charade to bed!!

Off the top of my head, just this year alone
  • First sub-.500 finish in the SEC
  • First 5-game losing streak to an SEC opponent (Alabama)
  • Largest margin of defeat to an SEC opponent (MSST)
  • First loss to Vandy at TBA
  • Longest losing streak (6 games)
  • Most home losses? (not sure, would seem likely)
  • First time not receiving top 25 votes? (likely)
  • First time not to make the field of 64 in the NCAAT*(soon)
Other Holly milestones
  • First time to lose at home in the NCAAT (Oregon State)
  • First loss in the 2nd round of the NCAAT (Louisville)
  • Lowest finish in SEC history (broke her own record this year)
  • First loss to MSST (probably an unfair record that was bound to be broken given how good they became)
I'm sure there are more. Too numerous to mention.

The last record you post is the one I believe is the most important. Vic Schaefer became head coach of a .500 Miss State team in 2012. Holly took over one the elite programs in 2012; the same year and had council from Pat for at least 2 years. Vic had to do it on his own and had Miss State in the national conversation in the 2017 season which was his fifth year as coach. Holly has gradually been sinking the LV program and this is with bringing in top recruiting classes. There is a big disconnect and Holly unfortunately is the plug.
