I wonder if some of the seige on our OL comes from the fact that teams are using a #1 Stack the box to stop the run #2 Since you're in there, attack the QB with #s since you're already up there, #3 All while trying to keep Dobbs from getting out. Appy did a great job of it.
I haven't watched all the O plays with that in mind. But, if I were and DC, that would prob be my scheme until TN showed the ability to beat it
I do think they've said something to Dobbs about running. He hasn't taken off much. Which is silly as that would neutralize our lackluster OL play. I get the feeling they haven't really opened the playbook these first two games in order to deny sec opponents film to review and keep Dobbs alive. I really hope they're holding back because otherwise we're in for a lot of trouble.
Josh Dobbs will make an NFL team (D4H is right) so it's hard to believe that he's thrown for a buck fifty in two games. That's including two nice bombs to Malone.
Surely, SURELY Butch, the DeBordinator and Azza, the "throw-game" coordinator, have been sandbagging the offense, especially the throw-game, ready to open the floodgates and unleash hell on the Gauntlet starting with those miserable Gators?
O-line cannot be this confused, receivers have to be better than last year, Dobbs can ball. It should be no trouble finding the missing 17-points.
I think the Big 3 have been holding back the Smokeys waiting to shock and awe the Gators. I think they've tried to reel in emotions to start the season waiting to rain nukes on the Gators and let that emotion carry them through the Gauntlet.
I hope so. If there ever was a must win game, it's 24-Sep.

surely seems there is a degree of not showing but when you factor in the speed that opposing defensive linemen are getting in our backfield it kinda negates any truth to such an idea. sad as it is, more than one poster has stated that our coaches aren't that smart. i'm gonna quit posting due to this negativity. i simply sipped on too much hype and expectations....while forgetting who our salesman..er coach is.The sand bagging is real. I can't believe it but it's real. We have yet to run the speed sweep and we have yet to use the TE over the middle. These two plays alone will drastically open up our offense. Once we start running these plays, the DE's will have to stop pinching down and the LB's will have to hesitate before crashing the line of scrimmage. Running these few simple plays will make life much easier on our OLINE and Hurd. I fully expect to see Bryd/Kamara and Wolf to play much bigger roles when Florida comes to town.
Of course they're sandbagging. Will show just enough to win every game by a close margin and then turn it loose in the NC game or next year. We may not have to show everything ever again.
Not sandbagging but minimal play book usage. Just go back to the Northwestern game! With all the returning starters we have, we have left alot in the tank! We will be 3-0 going into the fluriduh game and they will not have seen half of our playbook (offense, defense, AND special teams) Sit back and enjoy the W's
I'd love to be a defensive coordinator and play us. Shut down Hurd and put my best cover guy on Malone. Game over.
