I got one response. Here is my exchange (latest to earliest):

No Response to Date.

Response From Me to Hamilton (after FL game): You responded to me recently that I wasn’t an expert, but sadly, neither the Head Coach nor the AD seem to be very expert, either. Here is a nice quote from Bruce Feldman at ESPN.com:

“Tennessee was awful. I can't believe that after the way UF's players called the Vols out for quitting in last year's game and that was how they responded. I've never seen Phil Fulmer look so frazzled.”

This football program is being bungled so badly it is ridiculous. Being a basketball school might fly in North Carolina, but there is a lot of football tradition at Tennessee. This is unacceptable and cannot be allowed to continue. Except for the last two years when David Cutcliffe saved us, this program has been on a downward spiral for years. Fix it.

From Hamilton to Me (before FL game): Feel free to weigh in at anytime. We don't have to agree. I'm not perfect and you're not an expert, that's what makes it a great country. Go Vols-Mike

From Me to Hamilton (before FL game): I have been writing to you for years concerning the continued decline of the football program, and I was interested in getting the rah-rah form letter from you for this year. How many wins does it take to get a ridiculous raise and extension this time around (6 or 7).

Thanks for staying the course. You may have finally succeeded in dragging the football program below Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

When is somebody going to see the light and make the difficult decision?

nothing of note, but he (volnation member) was kind enough to PM me to say that he emailed MH. the response he got basically said "nice read".

suffice to say, i think MH has got his finger on the pulse of the fan base.

my guess is that the "responses" are written by an intern/grad assistant in the sports information office...

I havent bothered to send him an email. he probably an orange colored spam filter. This filter deletes any negative comments about fulmer. He only gets the emails that tell him he is right and fulmer needs another raise. :)

He wrote me back and said we are all to blame for the current struggles with the program and that CPF has been so upset he has only been eating 3500 calories a day, half his normal intake.

I got a reply back from him the other day.

Josh,
Thanks for writing in your concern with the current state of the Tennessee Football program. We are carefully considering the option of new coaching options. This doesn't mean that we are hoping to get rid of Phillip. His coaching record speaks for itself, and we wouldn't even consider making him step down for a couple bad years. I appreciate your continued support of Tennessee Athletics. It will get better, don't worry.

Go Vols,
Mike Hamilton

That signature and everything is totally different from what he sent to me. Not saying that yours isnt true or anything like that, just that he was totally different in my letter.

he replied with something like this.

Mike, thanks for writing and I do understand that the fan has every right to be upset with product on the field right now. However, it is my job at UT to support our coaches at all cost. Coach Fulmer has did a marvelous job at this university and took our team to the SECCG last year. The season is still young and we have every chance to make a return to Atlanta this year. Thanks and Go-Vols

Mike

He might not know his ass from a hole in the ground, but the man is educated enough not to say, "the option of new coaching options".
