that at the start of the 3rd quarter, and for pretty much the whole 3rd quarter, the crowd is completely dead? It's like there's no one in the stadium. This really upset me Saturday. I know we were winning and all, but geez, can't we still be loud and let the team know we're still there? This isn't the first time this has happened. I've noticed it in a lot of games.

I think the opponent has a lot to do with it. Expect Neyland to be louder with Cincinnati coming to town.

I agree totally. Let's rock the house this saturday. I'm sick of hearing the people from espn and cincy threads think this will be a for sure win. We need to bring the fear of Neyland back into the opponents eyes. On that same note, we could use a little help from the team as well. The flat play and no hustle in the 3rd and 4th qt has been noticed for a while as well.

I've noticed that too, but sometimes I think the team feeds off the crowd, and if we can be just as loud as at the beginning of the game, it can help them play better also.

Rain, an FCS opponent, and a blowout game....any stadium in the country will face this.

Everyone quit freaking out, the stadium will be loud Saturday. Just calm down.

The flasks are empty and the buzz wears off during halftime, only thing left is the headache and upset stomach.

Ive noticed this for a long time. Our fans just arent that passionate anymore when it comes to cheering. They are just happy being there. Its really sad when there are more alabama fans in our stadium than vols fans the last 2 times alabama has been here. Its crazy at home games the guest team fans are always louder than our fans.

It's a TBA carry over. Thompson Boling is always dead especially when it's a TV game. I am surprised at a football game being so quiet. Perhaps it will change when they play a team of importance.

You guys know if security will let me bring in my big 3x5 flag attached to a short flagpole? Maybe I can run around the lower and upperdecks of the stadium with the flag to fire people up. LOL

They were playing Montana, and were beating them pretty handily by the 3rd quarter. I think it''ll be better vs. Cincy if they actually show up to the game.

I'm sure you can find a way to get it in. This old guy in the section over from us was trying his best to get the wave started on Saturday. It would make it about half way around the north end zone and then fizzle out. I give him credit though..at least he was trying to get the crowd fired up.

I think a lot of people were drained from tailgaiting in 100 degree weather all day and then getting drenched for two hours before kickoff (I know I was). The weather, small crowd, game delay, and quality of opponent all contributed. That being said, I'll be loud Saturday and I think most people will as well.

tape the pole around your leg under your baggy jeans or pants and pocket the flag

What a bunch of sissies. Man I wished I lived in Knoxville. It would be a blessing. U think some vol fans there take it for granted that they are blessed to live there and take in a game whenever they want?
