Hart

Public vote of confidence is what usually means the coach is in big trouble. Much of the behind the scenes activity has come from people on the periphery of the AD and not Hart or his underlings. I believe right now Hart, Dooley, recruits know or have been informed that most likely Dooley will be back next year. Hart is smart enough to know solid football when he sees it. This team is 90% there, with better players in secondary and more consistent qb play UT is sitting at 7-1. We're light years ahead of what Dooley walked into in 2010 and even 2011. Maybe W-L doesn't tell that story, maybe defensive stats don't but when you look under the hood, objectively, you can see what's there. I say if the guy has gotten you to this far, let him get that 4th year to take that next step and prove he can win 9+ games, gut out those 2 extra wins against GA and USC, possibly UF. Remember Auburn with Cam Newton was a few plays away from 7-5, the edge is that close. If you can't get or pay your homerun guy, give Dooley the 4th year to show what he can do with a competent starting 11 on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, it's not like coaches should be worried about the team's stats, wins or losses, right? For that matter, there were too many people in that stadium anyway.....now that we are down to 85k.......more room for everyone! Yay!

Oh wait..........nvm...........

I wouldn't make a change unless it was a HUGE name. Plenty have said it but to hire someone with little to no head coach experience wouldn't be worth the set back. I'm not convinced that Dooley can take us to the top but we are a more competitive team than we were last year and I believe Dooley can maintain a core until we find the RIGHT hire on our time not out of desperation.

There are employment laws. you can't just go out and talk about someones employment future to the public. Did the VN community ever think of that one?

With all the rumors up in the air, it obviously hurting recruiting. But by not publicly saying anything to in my opinion means he has his guy(NOT Dooley.) He knows that he can wait and with a big name Hire pull some top recruits. I could be wrong but I think Hart knows exactly what he's doing.

Funny that rumor spreading fans want to deflect responsibility from themselves. Hope you don't teach your kids to do that in life.

Wtf are you talking about.

The fans are responsible for the team being bad?

Yeah, okay.

I'm guessing he means that when people come on boards and say "so-n-so is the next coach...it's a done deal" or things like that it doesn't help recruiting either. Or when the fan base hopes for a loss to "ensure" Dooley's fate like some have in the past.

because Hart said no to 2 Dooley DC hires and they then went with Sunseri. That's why. Dooley had Steele coming.

Been telling you guys for weeks that it was a mess up there and things aren't as cut and dry as far as boosters writing a check as you would assume they would be.

If he's any kind of AD he's doing some things out of the public eye right now.. Otherwise he's another dud from Bama..

There were many many more Bama and FL fans doing the same thing when Shula and Zook were on their last leg.
