A person has to assume that people making millions of dollars aren't stupid if they are getting paid for what they know.

Why would a person give up money in a contractual situation with no fault?

Why would a person give an unproven DC a three year contract worth $2.4 million?

Hart wanted DD out after last season and he went to DD who then showed interest but required what was agreed to.

DD didn't give in and Hart decided to go along with his plan anyway.

DD still didn't give in and now we have Sal.

Hart wanted DD out after this year and Sal as DC and Smart as HC.

You have to look at Hart's background to understand. He was at FSU for years and BB was king and had bad years but no change except for Hart.

He was at Bama as assistant and in comes Saban. You see Hart's experience are based on his last two jobs. The first where he looked like a average AD controlled by the past glory and the 2nd where he was 2nd but looked good because Saban was hired. Saban is all he knows as a winner, it is the only sure thing he knows.

I don't know how accurate any of this is. Sunseri was not Dooley's first choice but he was one of his top choices. Dooley supported the hiring of Sunseri and signed off on the deal. No one would coach with an AD that shoves assistant coaches down his throat. Hart supports Dooley and did not try to talk him into leaving as some have suggested. Now he may make a change after this season, but even that is not a given as many have suggested.

The whole DD negotiating his resignation claim is not true. He has not been asked to resign and has not offered to resign.

It wasn't even hinted at him?

You know off the record.

Can you tell me why Hart would give Sal such a lucrative contract?

Harts plan was to suck on defense so so Dooleu would get fired and he would have everyone on his side. If the AD wants to keep his job he doesnt want to lose. Unlike the above post. It has lose written all over it.

No, no that wasn't his plan. His plan was to get Sal and Smart both here.

I'm not saying he sabotaged but he was gonna be dam certain he had his DC in place with a contract when he could fire DD.

Don't you get it?

Because Dooley has not proven himself and he didn't want to be out of a job when he had a good job at Bama. Sunseri is no fool.

I don't get the feeling that Hart is the kind of guy who wants to hire a coordinator as HC, especially as his first choice. I think he's a guy that wants to get a big time established coach.
