A person has to assume that people making millions of dollars aren't stupid if they are getting paid for what they know.
Why would a person give up money in a contractual situation with no fault?
Why would a person give an unproven DC a three year contract worth $2.4 million?
Hart wanted DD out after last season and he went to DD who then showed interest but required what was agreed to.
DD didn't give in and Hart decided to go along with his plan anyway.
DD still didn't give in and now we have Sal.
Hart wanted DD out after this year and Sal as DC and Smart as HC.
You have to look at Hart's background to understand. He was at FSU for years and BB was king and had bad years but no change except for Hart.
He was at Bama as assistant and in comes Saban. You see Hart's experience are based on his last two jobs. The first where he looked like a average AD controlled by the past glory and the 2nd where he was 2nd but looked good because Saban was hired. Saban is all he knows as a winner, it is the only sure thing he knows.
